It might sound weird, but conflicts are a normal, common occurrence. Even if you are not a type of person that often engages in conflict, you simply can’t avoid it.
This audiobook will help you understand different types of conflict and how to emerge as a winner without disrupting your internal peace.
We say mean things when we’re angry, especially if we feel strongly about a certain point or if we have a stubborn streak in general. Sometimes we even say things we don’t mean, only to regret it later when the person we’re arguing with feels genuinely hurt.

What you’ll be able to do after you listen to this audiobook:
- Achieve peace and harmony in your relationships and workplace
- Recognize different stages of conflict and your emotional state
- Control how you react to certain triggers and avoid emotional outbursts
- Avoid unhealthy ways people deal with conflict
- Develop your emotional intelligence

Gives confidence to face and deal with conflicts
Not the first audiobook I listened to from this author. I’ve had Gerard Shaw’s audiobook on assertiveness because of my issues on self-esteem and confidence. Being a people pleaser, it causes me great distress to the point of anxiety to displease others. I have been avoiding confrontations and conflicts with others all my life. It is normal to not want any of it. Who wants to argue? Who wants discord? No one! But it doesn’t mean we should always avoid it to the point of running away. Issues must be addressed, conflicts must be faced. So, I found this audiobook from the same author. After learning how to be assertive, I knew I must work on how to deal with conflicts as a real alpha assertive person through this audiobook.

Keeps you focused on how to respond objectively
It’s interesting that this particular audiobook reinforces the power of reframing the mind to win. It is great for personal development and training the mind to respond by assessing the situation and focusing on forwarding a greater cause. I think more than a communication book, this book has a deeper, more profound objective. Indeed, as Gerard Shaw had promised, communication is the best tool to forward your steps toward success. One of the best of this type of Audible or class on this topic I have found. This is useful for anyone who wants to learn how to better at conflict resolution and effective communication with others, be it their neighbor, spouse, and co-worker. I shared it with a few friends as well, who also enjoyed it. It tells the best way to be less critical and more objective in your conversations and especially during arguments.

Understanding the world of conflict.
If there is something we need to understand about the world is that almost all types of relationships no matter how healthy will arrive at a certain point where we meet an opposing side. It is easy enough to accept this fact around people who we do not consider as significant in our lives, right? Wrong! This audiobook made me realize the significance of every human interaction in understanding the beautiful and complex dynamics of different genders, beliefs, and personalities in this world.

This audiobook made me realize the significance of every human interaction in understanding the beautiful and complex dynamics of different genders, beliefs, and personalities in this world.
This audiobook will give you a holistic point of view of people’s differences, why people disagree, the unhealthy ways people react towards conflict, and the ways on how to change that. I think anyone would agree, we are doing some of it wrong. Hence, these 7 techniques are I think very crucial to know. It has very detailed content, however, there are still some interesting subjects raised that I want to hear more about. After completing this audiobook, I am compelled to be more inquisitive and curious about the beautiful complexities of human nature and the art of harmonizing all that makes us human.

An audiobook about saving relationships
I think this a good listen for those who have experienced or are currently experiencing some turmoil or toxicity in their relationships at work, home, and personal life. Otherwise, it would be a bit unfamiliar to get some of Gerard Shaw’s strong points on the importance of this skill to all of us. And I mean, everyone! But my advice is, don’t wait to experience remorse and regrets, if you can learn to communicate right just right now. I wish I had known some of the wisdom contained in this book about 3 years ago. I would’ve communicated myself better and understood others better. It’s not too late to learn, however. And I plan to listen to this audiobook again and see how I can implement the strategies better. It could save a lot of pitfalls in your relationships if you pick up this resource. I recommend this audiobook if your relationships matter.

Practical and insightful
Practical, insightful and well-written. It is very helpful in changing the way we approach other people and respond to them during difficult talks. It is also very helpful to find your own approach for understanding other people’s position during an argument. Yup, will recommend this book.

Lovely core message
It has a lovely core message like the other books of Gerard Shaw. I think this one’s the best, so far. I hand out copies of good books regularly to friends and family and this one I’ll be happy to give them. It solves loads of relationship and communication issues between people. It is an important skill everyone should have. Additionally, I would like everyone in my life, especially those who surround me everyday to essentially learn the peaceful approach on how to coexist and solve conflicts together. I see this drastically improving relationships. Good Audible!

Thought of skipping the first few chapters? DON’T!
Okay, I have to be honest that I’m not very fond of reading some background and introduction to a certain subject. The word “theory” doesn’t impress me. But don’t get me wrong, for this book, I take it back! It was actually an enriching listen and I enjoyed it a lot. It is good to know all these for the purpose of FULL understanding. Otherwise, I don’t think you have the right stuff to integrate the actionable steps on your own. I like the way it is. It doesn’t tell you the way to do things like it’s the only way. It lets your mind explore and generate your own wisdom about dealing with conflicts in your life. It is scientific, detailed, workable, and yes profound. I’ve never seen a book that has that interesting combination. So far, I’m getting really positive results little by little. All respect to the author of this book. This kind of person, I guess, I would love to discuss things with. Okay, maybe even argue with and he can share with you the wisdom of embracing our differences in the process. I am hoping to do the same and create that impact. It’s cool. It’s a smart way to deal with stressful situations. All love and praises to this audiobook. I promise to read more and listen more. Thanks, Gerard!

Excellent audio book
The author has done enough research to write this book and the research is very well rounded from various aspects. There are several chapters in this audiobook that have helped me understand human behavior better than any other audiobook I have listened to. I am a lawyer and I have referred several clients to listen to this wonderful audible.
