I sent this book as a gift for my sister who just gave birth to her first child recently. I like that that each affirmation chapter is about 1 - 3 minutes. My sister is up feeding her baby every 2 hours, so being able to have a quick affirmation and a brief moment of mindfulness to start her day before engaging with her child is great.

There is so much that you can learn here to help you to enter your new life setup. My wife and I would listen to this together every day. It is a nice way to keep up with what is going on day by day. If you want something with a lot of medical detail this is not a ideal book for you.

Moms need support, and especially new moms. This would make a great gift for a new mother because motherhood is fraught with anxiety, lack of sleep, and often, overwhelm. Given the prevalence of post-partum depression, new moms need all the help and support they can get. Unfortunately, during a pandemic, help and support are often lacking. Listening to these affirmations is a great way to support one's own feeling of self-worth, reduce overwhelm, and relax in knowing this beautiful part of one's life is precious and there are no roadmaps or instruction manuals. There is only love, and that's enough.
