Following the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Iron Curtain, the vast expanse of the Soviet Union became accessible to the outside world. Suddenly, the Church of the Nazarene was confronted with exciting and challenging opportunities for ministry and missions. Among those spearheading this pioneering missionary work were Franklin Cook and Carla Sunberg, the authors of Pulling Back the Curtain on the Former Soviet Union.

This is a book written nearly 60 years ago of Elisabeth’s reflections on the trip she made to Israel just three months after the 1967 Six-Day Arab-Israeli War. With input from many there, Elisabeth takes the reader/listener on a journey of perspective.

This book contains sermons given by St John Chrysostom (ca. 349-407), the "Golden Mouth," perhaps the greatest preacher of all time. David Ford selected these particular sermons to illustrate certain dramatic moments in Chrysostom's life, which highlight some of the most important themes of his preaching and elements of his remarkable character and personality. Chrysostom's passion for proclaiming the truth and his love for his flock and, above all, for God shine through in these homilies, delivered at pivotal moments in his eventful life.

Imagine what it would have been like to be a follower of Jesus; first-century Christians walked away from their old lives just to be where He was. What they learned, sitting at His feet, was discipleship. And when His work on earth was done, first-century Christians took His words and example and spread out, teaching the gospel to everyone.

The transgender movement is based on a destructive ideology that has affected every adult and minor in every sector of American society. Our churches and communities need to understand how to address the spiritual and psychological crisis behind gender ideology. This book was written by Jennifer Bauwens, a trauma therapist and researcher, and Walt Heyer, who previously identified as a woman. Both authors have helped those who suffered the effects of gender ideology and who also had traumas and other mental health conditions.

Much-Afraid had been in the service of the Chief Shepherd, whose great flocks were pastured down in the Valley of Humiliation. She lived with her friends and fellow workers Mercy and Peace in a tranquil little white cottage in the village of Much-Trembling. She loved her work and desired intensely to please the Chief Shepherd, but happy as she was in most ways, she was conscious of several things which hindered her in her work and caused her much secret distress and shame.
