It immediately became the talk of the nation, hitting the best-seller lists even though it was a long, dense, and difficult economic treatise. It gave substantial, extensively research proof to the claim of the Left that inequality was growing rapidly and would have disastrous political and social consequences. This short critique takes a hard look at the book and points out its flaws.
