Historia
Vampires have always lived in Eastern Europe. But with the fall of the Soviet Union, they began to spread across the continent, then the world, turning whole populations into vampires - or human cattle. Having overrun India, the far East, and the great cities of North and South America, the forces of Night are now spreading into the countryside to consolidate their conquest.

If you ordered Salem's Lot from WISH...
Revisado: 08-22-22
This book reminds me of what would happen if you ordered Salem's lot from wish. The story also rides on the back of stereotypical characters like the drunk Irish priests, the hooker with a heart of gold (shes actually a nun playing hooker), and the extreme feminist lesbian. The author also manages to turn out Christian propaganda while taking a massive dump on everybody else's religion, and wagging a stern finger at the Atheists and Agnostics. He also manages to be Islamaphobic, slightly racist, and even manages to slip in a gang rape scene into the book, where the extreme feminist lesbian wakes up from a violent assault that leaves her bleeding from every orifice.
This book however does remind remind me of Stephen King's work "On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft" specifically because there is a passage in that book that says that reading bad writing should inspire potential authors because if someone with bad writing got published and got paid for their work, and you know that your work is a lot better there is hope and you should be inspired by bad writers. This guy is one of those writers.
In that sense this book should serve as inspiration to all unpublished authors that there is hope because somebody published this book, and the author got paid, and this book was not in any way shape or form a good read.

Historia
At the end of World War II, U.S. intelligence agents confiscated thousands of Nazi documents on what was known as the “Fischer-Tropsch Process” - a series of equations developed by German chemists unlocking the secrets of how oil is formed. When the Nazis took power, Germany had resolved to develop enough synthetic oil to wage war successfully, even without abundant national oil reserves.

Revisado: 05-16-22
Imagine reading a book where Philip Morris acolytes told you smoking is good for you, and anyone saying different was part of a vast conspiracy to stop you from smoking...
Imagine a book where a Flat Earther tells you the earth is flat, and also does not rotate, it's the stars and sky that actually rotate...
This book is like that. Perfect for the gullible and stupid, but an easy pass for anyone with a lick of sense.

Historia
Was America founded on the auction block in Jamestown in 1619 or aboard the Mayflower in 1620? The controversy erupted in August 2019 when the New York Times announced its 1619 Project. The Times set to transform history by asserting that all the laws, material gains, and cultural achievements of Americans are rooted in the exploitation of African Americans. Historians have pushed back, saying that the 1619 Project conjures a false narrative out of racial grievance.

What a joke...
Revisado: 04-29-22
This is a poorly written, slapped together cash grab, meant to cash in on white anxiety and white fragility. It's literally more of the same white washed faux, fantasy history this particular demographic has been churning out forever. This is the equivalent of jamming your fingers in your ears and screaming "la la la I can't hear you" which means right wing goblins will love this trash, everyone else will recognize it for exactly what it is... Trash.

Liberals scoff when conservatives denounce Obama and his policies as socialist. After all, they argue, Obama isn’t Stalin and America is nothing like the Soviet Union. But socialism doesn’t always resemble the Berlin Wall or the Iron Curtain, as National Review editor Kevin Williamson proves in his new book, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Socialism.

Oh, No!
Revisado: 04-11-22
Needed an editor who is a fan of the Simpsons. Factual errors abound.
For instance, in Terrhouse of Horror IV, "Tereor at 5 1/2 feet" did NOT feature an evil Krusty doll (Clown without Pity) Instead it was a parody of the Twilight Zone episode Terror at 20,000 Feet, and a small gremlin who looked like Homer was terrorizing Bart on the school bus. "There's a monster on the side of the bus!!!"

Historia
When Nirvana's Kurt Cobain inadvertently took his own life he left behind an army of shock rock fans. Nirvana and Cobain were the ones to put classic trash rock firmly on the map and sow the seeds for other young pretenders to follow. They were the mentors of Seattle sub-pop - and no one can say what direction their music would have taken, had Kurt lived on. Cobain says, "I started Nirvana because I had nothing else to do. I don't like sports so a band seemed to be a last resort for something to do socially.

What an absolute mess... Quote Un-Quote
Revisado: 04-06-22
The Narration is awful. The repetitive use of "Quote Unquote" is like a stick the narrator uses to repeatedly beat you in the head with. The runtime of this Audiobook is just under 10 hours. If you removed every verbal instance of "Quote, Unquote, End Quote" you could easily complete the book injustice under 4 hours. No exaggeration... its THAT bad and it's repeated again, and again, and again.
Avoid. But, if you must... make sure you don't pay any money for this dung heap.

Historia
The New York Times Magazine’s award-winning “1619 Project” issue reframed our understanding of American history by placing slavery and its continuing legacy at the center of our national narrative. This new book substantially expands on that work, weaving together 18 essays that explore the legacy of slavery in present-day America with 36 poems and works of fiction that illuminate key moments of oppression, struggle, and resistance.

I Get It Now...
Revisado: 03-30-22
I absolutely understand why this book upsets conservative ghouls and goblins like Ted Cruz, Mitch McConnell, et. al. and their easily triggered, and fragile ilk.
It teaches a part of actual American History sans the white washing that most of what's taught is subjected to.
Excellent book, very well done, although it can be a bit depressing once the truth hits you. We've made literally no progress. Nothing has changed, and for every single step Black Americans make, we have white supremacist in this country who chip away that progress and make it like it never happened.
