Good story… narration a little angsty…

This is my first time reading anything by Darling. I’d say that the storyline was pretty good. Some of the dialogue was so-so, I did enjoy it. I think that the narrator tried too hard at times. It’s possible she was trying for sexy, but that was just annoying. I kept listening because I wanted to know how the story played out.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this story is just captivating. I absolutely love this story. The growth of Emma from beginning to end is phenomenal! The characters were complex and the author continued to hold my interest until the end.

Very dark... and I still couldn’t put it down....

I knew this was going to be a challenging listen, but the twists and turns made me think about how life throws you a curve ball. You never know what’s around the bend or how someone interprets something. I he’s to find out what happened in the end... I’m happy I kept going!

I don’t know what I expected when I started listening to this novel. The characters were unexpected and full of flavor. At times the narration dragged, but listening at a faster speed was horrible so I kept it at regular pace. I like the fact that this wasn’t a fairy tale romance. Some of the descriptions had me on the edge of my seat for chapters at a tome, but I thought that added dimension. Great selection. You won’t be disappointed.

Awesome listen...

I actually chose this book because I started listening to the authors talk about this online. I was curious. This was such a fun listen! There were many moments when I just laughed out loud. Great job on this collaboration! There should beore like this. And I loved the Minnesota that was all over this book. Even though I have no idea how true the accent was.

Amazing presentation of love that endures!

I love love loved this book. The HEA was so worth the listen. There is just something about listening to letters between two people that pulls at the heartstrings. I know for sure that I will listen to this again at a later date!

Full of action...

I really enjoyed this story. Kylie Scott was creative in how the story progressed and character development. I really didn't want to leave it. There was a lot of undercover situations and I was wondering what would happen next. I actually got angry at one point, but I'll let you guess why. This was a great listen. Andi Arndt is a great narrator!

OMGOODNESS!!!!

I love a good historical romance and this book may have just become one of my favorites! Narration was perfect and I truly enjoyed how I was able to image the facial expressions of all of the characters. Hyacinth and Garath were adorable in there courtship and thereafter! Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a bit of mystery. You’ll be on the edge of your seat at several points of the novel!

Sweet and Sassy!!!!

Consent required! I really enjoyed the sassy commentary between the main characters. I didn't care so much for MJ Fields' narration. It was so slow. I had to kick it up a notch. However, the storyline itself was pretty good. I thought some areas were corny and mushy. Looking back, I'd say Livvie really needed that.
