lots of fun ideas, only the fact that in dream sequence showed that none of his girls think being with him is their perfect lifes but have to be "reminded" they like him. makes it all feel kinda like something gross is going on if all the women's dream is without him bad guy made it clear could make any dream. just no one pick him felt icky after that like the world force him on them.

Bruce my guy your books are amazing. I literally buy them right as thy drop thank you for the adventure and fantasy.

Do not start here go back and start from the beginning this book is worth catching up to the characters are awesome the mc fresh in a star lord meets Peter Parker kind of way brilliant but can't contain his nervous energy. power scaling is really handled we to the point where even the gods have chips in their armor that seem reasonable to exploit.

The love feels real in everyone jealousy, worry, all done in such a way where the harem seems more real then monogamous relationships I read or listen to in these kinds of stories.

this series and pretty much anything else from bruce is a instant buy and you won't regret it.

cozy/ spicey but everywhere

there is no real stakes that makes sense. "winning" is nothing but a convenience to move the story along. characters attitudes and personalities change so fast like a girl that is not sexual, down for trying woth mc, to interested in women, to back to being purely main character sexual. Bad guys or friends literally changing there minds in sentence to switch sides with startling conviction. that said very interesting premise, and feel good all the way.

if you are into none stop sex and surface fun please pick this up it's no enders game but you will end the story with a smile. Just don't read or listen in public.

Everyone is broken into perfect little pieces and I love it.

honestly if your a person who just wants to see real life reflected or have a need for everything to be socially acceptable this is not for you.

BUUT if your someone into thriller romance, broken people finding a place for them selves and just popcorn bucket on a couch watching or listening to the latest drama you may or may not have sturred up then pop a squat this is a Rollercoaster everyone is competent in there own way. Honestly almost warm and fuzzy for us in the kooky tribe.

I truly hope to see another entry into the series.

I listened to alot of vergils stuff but I feel like his wife does a better job a creating characters who know them selves and act according to "their" spectrum of normal and watching those sensibilities clash is *chief's kiss* perfect.

if in some way Yuki or Virgil read this more please I'll even pre order.

lots of fun ideas but the mc has no redeeming features, no strengths, not even the will to fight for himself. overly concerned with everyone else's feelings kinda like a c rate anime protagonist AND he's 40 (what a loser). I do wanna see him grow so that's a plus to the story but honestly it makes anyone liking him other then the desperate statue make no sense. believe it or not women like when you have a personality and are decisive about what you want, so the romance seems super forced. Hopefully next book is about growth and not more desu ex so I can get it.

got into the story for the fun and interesting power/world dynamic. Jackie story lines feels forced in honestly serves no point other then to have strong women that hates man parts. The way she acts even in the end just taking advantage of people who need a fresh start for her own goals is kinda effed up.

MC treated like a child by everyone and in the end no one seems to have any real connection hell the closest thing we get growth in relationships between Katie and the orc women. Even when the mc gets cooked alive no one seems to care that much.

Even though he's supposed to be a "protector" he never grows into that beyond the second book hell even though the power he gains turns out to be PARAMOUNT to saving people everyone treats him like an idiot for saying he needs it. Even in the end when he didn't have enough strength to protect his people around him and just go lucky his reaction was, "yep I'll let the next threat roast my family by letting my self stay right were I'm at".

Honestly no idea what happened but this whole story felt like a filler story to launch Jackie into her own heros journey and our mc didn't gain anything emotionally, spiritually, or romantically. end with book 2 pretend this one doesn't exist.
