Historia
Now, for the first time, Seth Godin offers the core of his marketing wisdom in one compact, accessible, and timeless package. This Is Marketing shows you how to do work you're proud of, whether you're a tech start-up founder, a small-business owner, or part of a large corporation. Great marketers don't use consumers to solve their company's problem; they use marketing to solve other people's problems. Their tactics rely on empathy, connection, and emotional labor instead of attention-stealing ads. When done right, marketing seeks to make change in the world.

Meh... lots of marketing babble.
Revisado: 02-13-25
After listening to several other audiobooks about marketing this left me feeling empty and that I wasted my time. My advice, move on to another title. Other reviews go into more detail about why that might be the case for you.

Same old story, same voices, so boring.
Revisado: 09-06-24
Listening to Mark Boyett narrate yet another military novel using the same character voices used from so many other of his narrated stories just doesn't work anymore. The story isn't engaging and is very one dimensional. Can't stomach so am dropping this one before I waste any more time on it.

Historia
Most days, Sarya doesn't feel like the most terrifying creature in the galaxy. Most days, she's got other things on her mind. Like hiding her identity among the hundreds of alien species roaming the corridors of Watertower Station. Or making sure her adoptive mother doesn't casually eviscerate one of their neighbors. Again. And most days, she can almost accept that she'll never know the truth - that she'll never know why humanity was deemed too dangerous to exist.

Horrible
Revisado: 01-27-23
This book listens like an adolescents book. Very single threaded, the plot if any, is a faint whisper. The narrator is great, but the content just isn't worth the opportunity cost when there are so many other great books available. Unfortunately I paid cash vs Audible credit so I can't return it, I tried! Very disappointed :(

Join the world's most famous drow elf in the penultimate chapter of the Legend of Drizzt series! Spending time in the unimaginable torture chambers of the Abyss for even a day would be enough to break even the heartiest soul, and the barbarian Wulfgar was there for years. When he returns, his friends find him a changed man, and not changed for the better. But Wulfgar's road to redemption is one he must travel on his own, even if it leads to the bottle.

Skip it... very boring
Revisado: 06-27-21
Another reviewer said this book should be titled, "The Pain of Wolfgar" (probably spelled it wrong), I couldn't agree more. But seriously, you can skip this entire book and not miss a beat (well maybe one beat but you'll be thanking yourself for not wasting 13 hours of your listening life).
Love the series but this book is entire... well you know that word that smells like poop!

Well done for teens!
Revisado: 05-31-19
I wish when I was young this book was available to read. Well done Mr. Sanderson!
As an adult listener I found the plot a bit thin and left me wanting. Even with that I enjoyed the audiobook. In the future I don't think I'll try and finish the series due to this, but for Brandon's target audience (of which I no longer qualify) I can only give this the 5-stars it clearly deserves.
Great narration by Suzy too, bravo!
Again, well done!!

Complete garbage and I loved every minute!
Revisado: 02-21-19
Nick does an excellent job of bringing all the characters in Civil War to life. His seemingly endless array of accents and character dialects adds color to what otherwise might be an average story.
The progression of the story is predictable, the plot isn't all that deep but character development and growth make up for much of these sins. While I did not find much redeeming value in this book, I was thoroughly entertained and am eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this series!

Gave up 1/2 way through and asked for a refund!
Revisado: 01-21-19
While I had high hopes for this title after listening to Rouge Dungeon I was sadly disappointed. Take poor writing, along with a mediocre narrator and you get this piece of trash.
Full of gender stereotypes that are so over used I cringed each time I heard them. The erotic scenes are so poorly written even a college freshman would get bored. If you want something racy there better choices to be had.
Four hours into this book I realized it wasn't going to get any better and lacked any redeeming qualities so I threw in the towel. Something I rarely do.

Terrible narration of a mediocre story
Revisado: 10-09-18
Overall I found this story lacking in excitement and emotion.
In particular the narration was very poor. Jeffery Kafer has an almost monotone quality to his voice and lacked much if any differentiation in his voice between characters. Yes there are worse narrators, for example Joe Farinacci's reading of "Galactic Freighter" but having listened to narrators the likes of Scott Brick, John Sharian I know just how much more life can be brought to an audio book by a great narrator.
The direction and editing of this audio book was abysmal. As an example, one of the supporting characters name is "Beth". At one point in the story the narrator said "Bob". Either the Jeffery Kafer was just reading the book verbatim or the production crew wasn't focused on their work to let something this obvious slip through into the final product.
The story does have some merit but this book needs another two or three passes through the editing cycle to add the polish I come to expect from Audible titles.
