But this book was a disappointment. I couldn’t finish it. The female lead drove me wild. I felt like I could give her a stern talking to if she were areal person - so aggravating. I loved all the other books and the books by Devney Perry always had me fully engaged. Sorry I can’t be more positive. But I’m looking forward to the next books.

This book made me supremely happy.

I’m not even finished with the book but I had to share just how wonderful it is. I’m already mourning when I get to the end. I was not patient waiting for the audible version. But if I’d known it was this good I’d have badgered more strenuously for its release. Get this book!! Great, unique characters. Very layered.

Mispronunciations drive me crazy

I love this series and this book. It’s time we’ll spent and I’ve recommended Peggy Henderson as an author to many people. I have so say, however, that Nick Serando mispronounces words so often that it’s distracting for me. Hearth is pronounced as harth - not rhymed with earth. Calico and Hiram are also mispronounced. I wish he would take a moment and verify pronunciations of words with which he’s not familiar. Okay I’m done complaining.

Shameless ploy to charge readers more

Lots of repetition and agonizing overand over about essentially the same things. Also this could have been one book instead of three. Authors like Mariana Zapata routinely provide long books instead of breaking them up into installments, which shows a kindness to their readers. I will not purchase short books with cliffhangers from this author again. Series/story not worth the cost. Shame on you for padding the series/stories with repetitions and then cliffhangers in order to charge your readers more.
