Historia
Margaret, Rose, Jane, and Fran had a good thing going: meet every week in the dusty quiet of their peaceful chapel and knit prayer shawls. No muss, just ministry. That is, until their pastor boots them out of the church in his last-ditch effort to revive the dwindling congregation. Uptight Margaret isn’t having it. Knitting prayer shawls at the mall where people can watch is the most ridiculous idea she’s ever heard of, and she’s heard plenty.

What love and friendship truly is all about.
Revisado: 05-02-24
This is such a beautiful story. The characters feel like real people, very relatable. They feel like people you actually know in real life. As a knitter, I understood more about how/why I choose my own projects. How each project has a purpose and all the love that goes into them. I can’t wait to hear the next story!!

Love the story and characters but audio needs work
Revisado: 09-24-23
I really like the story and characters. The narrator made it hard for me to follow in the beginning and I got lost a lot as it went on. There’s not enough pausing when it flips between scenes and some characters voices are too similar that it’s hard to tell who’s talking to whom and which story line it is.

Would you listen to A Wedding to Die For again? Why?
Yes. There is enough going on in the book, I may have missed something.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
It was an even pace until the end, and then I was on the edge.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I usually do with her books.

Historia
Shy, but scrupulous, he is happy working as a coroner in the Cologne morgue - until one of his usually taciturn “clients” starts talking to him. It seems the ghost of a recently deceased (and surprisingly chatty) small-time car thief named Pascha is lingering near his lifeless body in drawer number four of Martin’s morgue. He remains for one reason: his accidental death was actually murder. Pascha isn’t too keen on the good doctor, considering the tidy manner in which his body was dissected upon the autopsy table.

Stick with it, it's great!
Revisado: 08-20-12
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes. I learned a bit about Germany.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hard to pick, the 2 main ones
What about MacLeod Andrews’s performance did you like?
Love how each character's voice was different enough to determine which was speaking. I take it when all male/female voices sound the same. It makes it hard to follow.
Was Morgue Drawer Four worth the listening time?
Yes. It took a little getting used to. I almost paused it for another day, but I stuck with it, and it really gripped me in the middle.

Entertaining and keeps you hooked.
Revisado: 08-20-12
What did you love best about The Case of the Missing Servant?
the characters!!! They're painted so vivid and given such distinct personalities, it was easy to follow and enjoy.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I love the main character. I like how he nicknames all his operatives. He gives the impression that he's not too smart, but he sneaks up on them with all of the answers.
What does Sam Dastor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
It's difficult to get all the different accents and voices in your head when you read. I like how they didn't all sound the same.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
it made me laugh off and on.
Any additional comments?
loved it
