poor narration

narration is not good. there's multiple spots where you can tell that a line was re-recorded and there's a big difference in the audio to where you can tell there's a cut. Don't even get me started on the parts of the book with songs. We get what's described as being a sweet serenading female voice performed awkwardly in a talking sing song male's voice instead. I'm glad that they got a different narrator from the previous books because those were from a females perspective and this one is from a male's perspective. It make sense to have a male narrator but this guy is just not good.

The title of this book should be "backyard chicken farming". there is a lot more to homesteading than just raising chickens and yet that seems to be the only thing they talk about in this book.

this genre definitely needs some new creative ideas. this book is definitely not it. Texas secedes from the nation because Democrats bad, Texas good. then the US hits Texas with an EMP as retaliation. if you're a maga Texan then maybe you will enjoy this book.

I really hope the later episodes have better audio quality....... this is hard to listen to. sounds like it's being recorded through a large tube.

Ok but somewhat generic

Overall the story wasn’t horrible and the narration was ok. It is a bit of a generic “shtf” story and the female antagonist is a little overplayed to a bit of a cringe level. I won’t be continuing the series.

if you're just looking for a rough, shallow, source of information that's aimed at the extreme beginner then maybe you will find this book helpful. If however you have done even the slightest bit of research on the topic or even just have good common sense, then this book is a waste of your time.

after my first listen, I thought, "man this is some good material. This should really be able to help me. What he is saying really makes sense. I need to listen to this book over and over again to really get these ideas driven into my brain." so that's what I did. I listened to the book multiple times. Every time I listened to I found more inconsistencies and contradictions in the things he was saying. I slowly began to realize, this guy has no clue what he's talking about and he's just trying to sell books. There truly is some good information in here though. Mainly about overcoming yourself mentally and your self limiting beliefs, but with how much contradiction there is you'd be much better off finding a different author. Can I exchange this book for somebody who is consistent with what they're teaching you?
