There is an uncertain comfort in the darkness. The reflected image of the unknown is full and empty in the same moment, providing blissful sleep for the dreaming yet panic for the awake. The man stares out into the empty void in front of him. They are down there somewhere, everyone he had ever known, loved, and lost, is in the abyss. The responsibility to act is a burden felt by most, but few dare to accept it. Having decided to act, Commander Victor Gray, isolated and without everything he holds dear, slowly drifts toward a newly discovered planet.
