Historia
Hope is much more than wishful thinking. Science tells us that it is the most predictive indicator of well-being in a person's life. Hope is measurable. It is malleable. And it changes lives. In Hope Rising, Casey Gwinn and Chan Hellman reveal the latest science of hope using nearly 2,000 published studies, including their own research. Based on their findings, they make an impassioned call for hope to be the focus not only of our personal lives, but of public policy for education, business, social services, and every part of society.

Was all in until politics were brought in.

I loved the book, content and concepts until in chapter 8 it got political. You lost me when it was insinuated that Obama inspired any hope whatsoever...

Historia
Every day we experience the uncertainty, risks, and emotional exposure that define what it means to be vulnerable or to dare greatly. Based on 12 years of pioneering research, Dr. Brené Brown dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage. Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity.

Every human should read this book!
Revisado: 07-22-19
I have never read (listened) to a book that impacted me more than this book has. Addressing and embracing vulnerability is essential to the success of any and all relationships, personal and professional alike. This book allowed me to self reflect and really begin to address ways I struggle in this area. I will listen over and over because there are so many amazing nuggets that I'm certain I missed and I don't want to miss anything she has to offer!
