Historia
The Moog synthesizer "bent the course of music forever" Rolling Stone declared. Bob Moog, the man who did that bending, was a lovable geek with Einstein hair and pocket protectors. He walked into history in 1964 when his homemade contraption unexpectedly became a sensation-suddenly everyone wanted a Moog. The Moog's gamechanging sounds saturated sixties counterculture and burst into the disco party in the seventies to set off the electronic dance music movement. Bob had singlehandedly founded the synth industry and became a star.

I should Like it

I dunno. I can't focus on this. Yen's voice is just so... something. Like a college course. Not sure I can finish this one. Moog is such an integral part of everything I enjoy I wish I could listen. I think I would probably rather read the physical book.

Historia
"Pa-dum-pum-pa-dum-pum - PUM!" Super Mario Bros. for the NES contains some of the most recognizable tunes in popular culture, and yet it’s safe to say that only a handful of people have thought beyond the music’s entertaining surface. After all, what could possibly be art-worthy about an early Mario score? Or any early game sound for that matter? In search of answers to these questions, Andrew Schartmann takes us on a journey from the primitive "pongs" of arcade machines to the complex musical fabrics woven by composers of the NES era.

Like sitting through a work meeting

Could not wait for this to end. The completionist in me wouldn't just let me walk away.
Boring. Disjointed. The narrator could have just been reading random paragraphs from Wikipedia. Other than a small mention about the importance of Space Invadors I was just bored out of my mind.

Really Helpful
Revisado: 08-07-17
I really liked this. Helped me come up with some ideas for practicing my bass. Some of the links on the website could be updated (some are expired) but otherwise a great listen.
The part that explained taking things very slowly and doing them right the first time was the most helpful. Knowing that my brain will "learn" to make the same mistakes over and over was an eye-opener.
Thank you.
