Historia
Frances was not looking for a relationship when she met Elaine in a bar. She was, in fact, looking to drown her sorrows in a pint or twelve and nurse a broken heart, shattered by the gorgeous, electric Adrienne. But somehow (it involved a steady stream of beer and weed, as things often did with Frances) Elaine ended up in Frances’s bed and never left. Now, faced with mounting pressure from her drug dealer, Dom (and his goon, Betty), Frances comes up with a terrible idea: She asks Elaine to move in with her for real.

I’m not smart enough to know if this is literature, but I do know it’s damn good writing - smart and witty and tragic, wonderful! Ms. Carlin is a pro… no one could’ve done it better. Thank you Ms. Winter & Ms. Calvin, bravo!

I would gladly listen to Miss Craden read the phone book. Love the premise of the story could’ve used a little more heat, but again it was read by Abby Craden, can’t go wrong with her.

Shae is surprised to find that Dr. Ramsey isn't a man as she'd expected, but a soft-spoken, strikingly lovely woman. Adrian Ramsey finds her new patient both obnoxious and antagonistic. She also finds her surprisingly appealing in a way she hadn't felt in years. Despite all attempts to keep their relationship strictly professional, the two women find themselves falling for each other.

Great!
Revisado: 03-27-23
New writer for me glad I took a chance. The writing is intelligent, good depth. Humor is actually funny - so difficult to pull off, Ms. Roberts is very good at it (thank you, thank you, a million times thank you!) All secondary characters are fully drawn, not just filler. Narrator is a pro!!! Get this. You will not be disappointed. 👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏

Couldn’t stop listening to this book once I started. Fascinating characters, wonderful writing. Everything about it was new and refreshing. Ms. Craven did an outstanding job once again. I’ve been a big fan of her since I started listening to books and I think this is one of her best. Wonderful job all-around Thank you!

Wonderful series! Great Narrator!
Revisado: 10-09-22
I loved this series! The character of Olivia was delightfully compelling and I thought Ms. Putt's vocal intonation and characterization were genius - she's one of my favorite narrators (all the British narrators are wonderful I think; not a bad one in the bunch). I used to work (recording, directing, editing) with a lot of very top-notch narrators (Don LaFontaine, Percy Rodriguez, Al Chalk, Mark Elliot) and I love them - so I can't help but pay very close attention when listening. Nothing worse than a bad narrator. Ms. Putt is a pro! I could listen to her read the phonebook.
I have listened to all of Ms. Radley's offerings from Audible and she hits the sweet spot for me - light but not stupefying, engaging characters, intelligent humor. I really enjoy her books. TBH, I wish there was a little more "heat"- but there's always Radclyffe for that :).

Historia
Numbers rule Dr. Mei Sharpe’s life. She has no husband, one friend, two daughters, and three random meetings with the same woman within four weeks. Once is chance, twice is coincidence, but upon the third meeting, even Mei in all her empirical rigidness must admit that perhaps the universe is giving her a nudge. A nudge that lands her directly in the path of Lieutenant Morgan Kelly—an affable, charming detective for the Sheriff Department’s brand-new cold case team working down the hall from Mei’s morgue.

WONDERFUL!
Revisado: 08-14-22
I haven't even finished this yet but I felt compelled to post a review. I've been slogging through mediocre stories with abysmal narrators (what's up with that anyway? I cannot listen to a bad narrator - the voice may be fine, but jeezus they cannot read to save their lives! Who hires these people? So many titles I've purchased that are languishing in my digital library because I can't get past the first few paragraphs without my ears starting to bleed!) That's not the case with this one. Writing is intelligent and witty, characters interesting, and the narrator is a pro. Buy this one - you won't regret it.
Thank you Mses. O'Shea and Kay, for rescuing me!

Historia
Lucinda Hamilton settles down in sleepy Reverie, South Carolina, because she's running from the troubles of her past. But when her dangerous ex-husband evades law enforcement, she fears that no amount of running will ever make her safe again. Two women are determined to keep Lucinda's past at bay - the mysterious young nurse living on the other side of Lucinda's duplex, who won't even tell Lucinda her name, and Ardie Brown, an ex-marine who's recently moved back to Reverie herself. It's hard for Lucinda to trust either one; it's even harder to admit that she's falling for both of them.

Almost….
Revisado: 07-14-21
The most well written book of this genre I’ve listened to so far (and I’ve listened to upwards of 40 -
sad, but true 🥺. Intended humor was actually humorous, likable characters, original premise The sex was hot without being ridiculously acrobatic. And…the best description of what it’s like to “come out” as sober I’ve ever come across (thank you💕)
The reason for only 4 stars is due to the ending…didn’t feel fully fleshed out. But I will be on the lookout for more from this writer.
Ms. Craden, as always, is a pro. I hope this team works together again.
