Zeke Daniels isn't just a douchebag; he's an asshole. A total and complete jerk, Zeke keeps people at a distance. He has no interest in relationships - most assholes don't. Dating? Being part of a couple? Nope. Not for him. He's never given any thought to what he wants in a girlfriend, because he's never had any intention of having one. Shit, he barely has a relationship with his family, and they're related; his own friends don't even like him. So why does he keep thinking about Violet DeLuca? Sweet, quiet Violet - his opposite in every sense of the word.

I LOVE Zeke!!
Revisado: 03-20-18
Why have I waited so long to read this series????
I don't know, because I've seen my friends/co-bloggers raving about it. Anyway, I'm glad I finally picked it up because I NOW HAVE A NEW FAVORITE AUTHOR!!!!!
Shit, Sara Ney is SO TALENTED. So. Talented.
She wrote the meanest, most @ssholish, douchebag there is.
And then made me fall in love with him.
For reals.
These characters aren't perfect. They're flawed. And vulnerable. Even Zeke. That's what makes him so damn lovable.
Zeke and Violet are my favorite couple so far.
Favorite line of the book:
"The best part of me is you, Violet."
SWOON!!
Not to mention, the audio is FANTASTIC!!! If you love audio books like I do, please pick this one up. The entire series is narrated by Josh Goodman and Muffy Newtown and they do such a good job with these characters.

Garrett Daniels has this whole life thing figured out. The cocky, charismatic former high school star quarterback is an idolized football coach and "cool" teacher in the hometown where he's not just a golden boy - he's platinum. He has good friends, a great house on the lake, and the best damn sidekick a man could ask for: Snoopy, the albino beagle. Then...Callie Carpenter comes home.

Revisado: 03-20-18
This book hit the sweet spot for me.
Seriously.
First of all - I LOVE AUDIOBOOKS. And I love Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt - perfect combination. the only thing that could have made this better is if it was narrated duet style (I wish everything was narrated that way) but suffice it to say, this two are my TOP FAVORITE narrators ever.
Getting Schooled is a story about first love and second chances. Garrett and Callie were high school sweethearts. Callie then goes away to college and ends up relocating across the country. But a family emergency brings her home, and they realize they never stopped having feelings for each other.
I love that they're teachers in the same high school they met. I had a silly smile on my face almost the whole time, full of nostalgia and familiarity mixed with anticipation as they discover the new, adult versions of each other.
I love their interactions with their students and family members.
I love Snoopy.
I love the shared history and chemistry of this couple.
I love Emma Chase's writing!!
Bottom line: must LISTEN audiobook!!

First - the narrators were fantastic!
Second - I love the duet style - I think alll books should be narrated this way.
Third - the book itself was spectacular!
I love that we had sexy, sweet and angst, all rolled into one.

Fantastic NA M/M Romance!!!
Revisado: 03-28-17
What a great story by Nyrae Dawn and Christina Lee!
Gabriel and Lucas's story is so touching and sweet. The narration really did a great job of bringing this story to life!!!
What I loved about this book:
~ Alternating POV. My favorite way to read. Love that we get inside both Lucas and Gabriel's POV.
~ The writing. This is the 3rd book I've read that was written by 2 authors and again I'm impressed with how seamlessly the writing flows. Great collaboration.
~ The characters are real. They're flawed. They have issues to deal with and real life is hard. Gabriel has bipolar disorder. Lucas's mom was an alcoholic. These things really affect their lives. I just wanted to crawl into the book and hug these boys. But these boys are strong.
~ Chemistry. I loved the pull between the characters.
~ I loved watching Gabriel and Lucas grow throughout the book. They both have dreams and were floundering a bit. But they get it together in the end.
"You and me? We got this."
Bottom line: Great new adult m/m romance about finding your happily ever after despite all of the challenges real life throws at you. Highly recommend.

Holy. S h ! t.
TJ Klune is brilliant.
I listened to this book on audio and I have to give props to Kirt Graves - he really did a stellar job bringing this story to life.
I have no idea how to review this book other than to say I freaking loved it.
It started out...confusing. I had no idea what the EFF was going on. It felt like I might be losing my mind.
But the hints of the romantic side of the story kept me interested. I didn't want to give up because I didn't want to miss the romance.
I don't want to give any spoilers, but here's what I love about this story:
~ It's a slow burn.
~ It's very trippy.
~ It's magically crafted.
~ It's SO romantic. Like, so so romantic.
I'm working my way through all of TJ Klune's stories. He's amazing and I'm so glad I get to read his books.
Bottom line: don't let the "paranormal" or trippy parts of this book get in the way of picking it up. Keep reading (or listening) because once I got into it, I was HOOKED. I talked about this book to my husband, my 13 year old son, my coworkers, EVERYONE. It would make an awesome movie!

Growing up, Jason Stern led a charmed life complete with devoted sisters, a father who was one of Brooklyn's most respected rabbis, and a mother who made the world's best babka. He headed to NYU ready for anything - except falling for the wrong guy, coming out, and getting disowned by his once-loving family. In spite of that, Jason managed to graduate with honors. He's got friends who treat him like family, and he's proudly running the largest LGBTQ teen shelter in Manhattan. Life is good, but he's still falling for the wrong men.

Revisado: 09-24-16
I read this book a while back and just finished listening to the audio book.
This book is amazing. When I picked it up, I didn't realize it was part of a series, so I hadn't read any of the other books in the series. I didn't feel like I was missing anything, so don't be afraid to dive in with this book.
Moment of Silence was so much more than I expected. It is told 100% from Jason's POV and I love this character so much. He has been disowned by his family for being gay and is working for a LGBTQ teen shelter, trying to be there for teens struggling with the same circumstances.
Quinn is working at the shelter and Jason is instantly attracted to him. But the more he gets to know Quinn the more he likes.
The problem is that Quinn is almost a priest. He has taken a hiatus before his final vows to make sure the priesthood is what he really wants.
I loved watching these two characters find their way to each other. There was so much angst in this book because these two guys are AMAZING together. But the whole time I kept wondering if Quinn was going to go through with becoming a priest and break Jason's heart OR if he was going to choose Jason. GAH!!!
Don't let the religious part of this book scare you away from reading it. It really didn't delve too deeply into the religious side of things. Only that people of all religions struggle to accept homosexuality. And the people that are gay sometimes struggle to accept that side of themselves in order to make other people happy.
The book was amazing and the audiobook was fantastic!!! Robert Nieman was a perfect voice for Jason. I loved the way he brought the story to life. I could literally listen to him talk forever. His voice is amazing - if you get a chance to listen to this story, I highly recommend!
Bottom line: read this book. It's hot. It's angst. It's struggle. It's love. It's acceptance.
It's everything.

unique story
Revisado: 09-07-16
I was provided with an audio copy for honest review.
Unique story.
I listened to this one on audio and the narration was outstanding. This was a 100% male pov and the narrator did a great job bringing Lowen to life.
The beginning of this book was a bit depressing. Lowen comes from a poor family. He steals things to provide for himself, his sister and single mom. He steals a jar of peanut butter and when caught ends up in jail.
If that wasn't depressing enough, when he gets out of jail, no one wants to hire him. He can't make ends meet, let alone pay his restitution fees.
I was really rooting for Low and Poesey. I mean. Young love, trying to get out from under poverty and a criminal record. I was waiting for their HEA.
And then they start robbing banks.
So, do I still want them to have a HEA - yes.
But do I want them to get away with all of the illegal activity they did...ummmm. I dunno. Yes? No?
I was so conflicted!!!
I don't even know what to say about the ending. The ending just killed me.
Bottom line: awesome narration, unique story that pulled at my heart strings and kept me listening until the very end. If you're looking for warm fuzzies, this is not the book for you.

Love this book!
Revisado: 08-17-16
Narration really brings this story to life! Perfect voices for Ryke & Daisy.
I'm a huge fan of this series - I've invested 8 books into it and I had a LOT of expectations going into this book. I was a bit worried as to whether or not Krista & Becca would meet my expectations.
They totally did.
I LOVE Ryke and Daisy together. I love how they overcame each obstacle that life threw at them. And Krista and Becca made them go through a LOT. WTF ladies??? I was SO mad at the authors a couple of times for testing my heart and tear duct function. Yup, both work. I cried a LOT, I laughed a LOT. I had to put my kindle down to take a break because I was so scared to turn the page. Brace yourself for the angst.
But never fear, Krista & Becca take care of us.
I LOVE Lily and Lo. Especially Loren. He shines in this book and I really appreciated how far his character has grown from the very first book. He is strong. He is dependable. He is there for Ryke the way Ryke was there for him in the past and I was SO proud of him. It's so great to see Lily and Lo as parents too. Moffy = cutest thing.
Connor and Rose are still Connor and Rose. Although I disagreed with a lot of Connor's advice in this book.... He was as arrogant and confident as ever. And I LOVE seeing them as parents too. Jane and Moffy together - so sweet.
Samantha Calloway and Jonathan Hale even have their good moments in this book. Not sure I can really change my opinion of them - I tend to hold on to my resentment a really long time, lol. But it was a pleasant surprise.
This book put me through the ringer. It was unpredictable and full of spectacular life events and full of obstacles. But I loved it all. The writing sucks me in every time and I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself now that I'm done with this book.
And the Epilogue - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best. Epilogue. EVER!!!!! I love seeing how everyone ended up. LOVE IT. There were some pleasant surprises in that Epilogue.
Seriously. Book hangover has commenced.
Bottom line: read this book. But start at the beginning!!!!!
I highlighted the majority of this book. LOL. Here are my favorite quotes:
"He Keeps going, he keeps moving , and he picks everyone up when they've fallen behind."
"All I need is you."
"Ryke Meadows endures all things like he was born to last a forever."
"Never give up or back down on the things that fill your soul, Calloway. There is no worse life than a hollow one."
"I'm always kissing you in Paris, Dais. Every fu@king time, I'm kissing you."
"I'm a man of extraordinary talents, but I need you." He swallows. "Do you hear what I'm saying?"
"I love him in every moment. In every smile. In every frown. And I will love him after every long way down."
"Magical things happen in the woods."

I'm a HUGE fan of the Stage Dive series, so when I heard that Kylie Scott was coming out with a new series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.
Dirty is the first book of the Dive Bar Series, starring Lydia and Vaughan. I LOVED their story!! Dirty was the best combination of funny, sexy, light and addictive.
Lydia learns, on her wedding day, that her fiance is gay and sleeping with his best man. This leads her to flee the scene, quite literally, right into Vaughan's bathtub. From there, these to have a connection. A CRAZY connection.
What I loved about this book:
~The writing. Kylie Scott is so easy for me to read. I quickly get sucked in and can't stop turning the pages.
~Lydia. Dirty is told 100% from Lydia's POV and she is HILARIOUS. She has been jilted, but she does a good job of picking up the pieces of her life. She is not perfect, she is not stick thin either, and I LOVED that about her.
~ Vaughan. A musician that didn't get quite the break he was looking for in the music world. He is back in his home town to sell his childhood home and look for his next move to follow his dream. He did not plan on meeting a woman and falling in love. He planned on selling the house, then traveling back to the west coast. But dreams change. I love how in tune he is with Lydia. I love how he makes her feel safe. He makes her feel desired. He makes her feel less self conscious of her body. He makes her feel wanted. Aaaaand he has tattoos. Vaughan is so appealing.
~ The chemistry. The love how neither Vaughan or Lydia wanted a relationship, but they couldn't stop the pull.
~ Side characters. I LOVE the group of people introduced in this story. I want to jump into the book and become friends with everyone. I can't wait to read the next story!!!
~ Narration. If you get the chance, listen to this one on audio. Andi Arndt is an AMAZING narrator. I love how she brings the characters to life.
What I didn't like:
~ A bit predictable. I totally knew these two would fall for each other. I loved reading about how they got to their HEA. No huge twists or turns in the plot.
~ So fast. The entire story takes place over 1-2 weeks. Ummmm. That's kinda fast. I would have loved to see this story cover more ground.
This was an awesome read and I can't wait to read more by this author.
Bottom line: READ IT!!!!
