The series has been cute. It gets a little too emo for me with the teen angst kind of maturity with the arguing. But overall I like the rest of how she writes her characters. I personally like it enough to keep going through the series.

Perfect happy feels listen

Gosh I’ve spent a long time looking for authors that can create beautiful stories that just are perfect. Like a lovely bubble bath, a perfect cup of coffee while watching the sun rise, the happy feels you never want to let go of that warm your heart and soul. Yes this author is all that to me. I love a story that makes me feel the feel goods and she totally does that.

There’s no crude stuff or vulgarity that makes you irritated just hearing it in the audiobook. There’s no trigger type stuff that I am aware of. Well maybe if you’re gay it’ll trigger something but hey he fights the fight. This story is beautiful and perfect of you are looking for a hallmark type story with more depth and more genuine real life feels.

This would have been so much better if the last hour had actually ended like mature adults. The dialogue was so catty like emotional teenagers being vindictive and mean I couldn’t finish the book. For me it is just simply unnecessary hurtful drama that’s just not needed to make a nice story. I click on these romance books for a nice story to enjoy. If the author wanted to go Lifetime movie drama I feel Audible should have a tag added to the books.

Was the story interesting and unique yes. Did I enjoy many parts of it yes. However the immature stuff was a bit much for me. A woman being old enough to have finished college and have a career as a teacher and a man raised to be honorable with good manors and running an empire suggests adults that have their life together enough not to be like yo-yo emotional teenagers.

I only recommend this if you don’t mind ridiculous drama for the ending. To each their own. This author has a lot of potential for writing nice stories I hope she does.

I do not recommend to people who want a sweet charming love story. This writing is unnecessarily vulgar and graphic with the gore/violence. Overkill seriously. The author could have left out the rated R element of the part of the story that’s from the guy. This was absolutely a mood killer for me and gave me nightmares.

Criminals who are accessories to murder and violent crime are not something to be celebrated in my book. The guy should have been in prison for his acts. It’s just insane and any woman who can just forgive someone for being evil for profit is ridiculous. Low class all the way.

My last complaint was the vulgarity of how he spoke about her. Using the C word ew.

The narrators were good. The man was just too much for me for a romance story though. He did an amazing job with the portrayal of extreme emotions. It’s just not a romance story vibe. This was a lifetime movie of damage.

Some parts were precious and sweet and amazing. The awful stuff ruined it for me though.

Trigger warnings for graphic violence described, animal torture and death get described, graphic murder is described several times, vulgar language in the bedroom and not the sexy kind and a man being extremely forcibly rude to a woman.

Overall a enjoyable story to fall into.

Lots of trigger type stuff though. The main woman in the story does make a lot of truly stupid mistakes. I personally can’t stand when stories are written out where the person never learns throughout the story to be careful and weary when someone’s out to get you. It’s just bad in my opinion.

The narrators are awesome as always. The story is interesting enough to keep me going, wanting more. Just wish things played out in such a way that don’t paint the women to seem stupid in their choices. Also tied up and causing her pain come on what guy would do that after how his sister was murdered ick…

She writes this story in such a way that I’d keep looking for more stories by her even with the annoying stuff.

This book got me through a rough time during illness, it so thoroughly helped keep me distracted.

The story gets you especially if you’re older. There’s so much she covered well. To think 20 years ago I remember people harassing a couple that was 18 and 22. The woman was 22 and she received a lot of not pleasant unasked for feedback on her relationship. At that same time period plenty of guys were dating younger women by even more years than that and no one said a word. It’s crazy how people think.

Fandoms can be quite insane I’ve seen firsthand. I was in shock to have met Jared Leto and was star struck stupid personally lol I truly had not expected myself to be struck silent lol. However a woman only a few years younger than me lost her mind. She literally started petting him right there in front of everyone. Like there are just some people out there that are unhinged. It’s sad on all counts. Celebrities shouldn’t be harassed the way that they are. As long as sick people keep buying into the paparazzi garbage the paparazzi will still have reason to violate celebrities.

This book really was amazing and I appreciated all that she did to shine a light on all the things out there.

Not into the rough stuff

I really liked the story outside of the insane parts with the emotionally abusive ex. I would have enjoyed this way more if it did not have the disgusting parts that are essentially physically abusive in the bedroom. It’s just degrading. If someone requires this to be turned on that’s a serious indication that you need therapy. Seriously though choking someone should not be a turn on and being choked shouldn’t be a happy place.

Wowzers tear jerker

Great story but so many different kinds of triggers in this one. If you suffer from PTSD or were military and saw combat this book may help you with the grieving process or make it worse. It’s unique in that she offers insights for different methods of dealing with depression and loss. I appreciated the methods. I cried a lot with this one. So much loss of life talked about though so not really bedtime reading. The love story was sweet and it was nice to continue hearing the stories of previous characters. I will say though for real if this book kinda sinks you into a dark place further reach out to loved ones you trust with your pain. If you don’t have anyone look online for groups. I’m still amazed I found comfort and solace from gamer groups of all places. All types of people are everywhere you just need to look. <3

Good but…

I really like this story but there’s some stuff that’s just a bit traumatic to listen to if you’ve been there before. Brings up bad memories and all that. I’m going to keep listening of course because I do think this writer is awesome. Just wish there was less of the upsetting parts. To be fair though I guess it does work in well enough for what she was trying to do with estranged sisters.
