Historia
The feral warrior-kings of Fenris, the Space Wolves are the sons of Leman Russ. Savage heroes, few can match their ferocity in battle. After half a century apart, Space Wolves Ingvar and Gunnlaugr are reunited. Sent to defend an important shrine world from the plague-ridden Death Guard, the Grey Hunters clash with the pious Sisters of Battle—who see the Space Wolves as little better than the enemy they fight. As enemies close in around them and treachery is revealed, Gunnlaugr and his warriors must hold the defenders together.

A good Spacewolves story that makes you want more.
Revisado: 11-28-22
This was a well crafted story, leaving you wanting more. That applies both in good ways and bad. The narrating was excellent. Characters are strong, but a central driving theme/struggle/villain was not well defined.

The series continues with excellent performances
Revisado: 09-07-19
Once again in my opinion the performance was excellent, and one of the most compelling parts of the audio book. This story developed more characters and villains, showing deeds that should yield a great story in the next novel. I would have liked a little more in the way of action and magic on the part of the virtues.

Needs more Arkhan. Interesting antagonist.
Revisado: 01-12-19
Arkhan the Black is the best character in the realm of death. Neferrata was fun too. I wanted more from the story and Nagash, it felt underwhelming for a self titled book to not show him more. There was more road to use with the life and death narrative. Narrator had amazing range and skill.

It is said that all who live belong ultimately to the Undying King. In the shadowy lands of Shyish, Nagash, God of Death, calls forth his soulless legions to reassert his dominion. His dread advance begins with the free city of Glymmsforge, bastion of Azyr in the Realm of Death. Standing between Nagash and his prize are the brooding Anvils of the Heldenhammer, an ancient host of Stormcast Eternals, and Lord-Castellant Pharus Thaum, guardian of the Ten Thousand Tombs. As battles between the living and the dead rage throughout the Mortal Realms, the War of Heaven and Death begins anew.

Enjoyed a great performance and a good story.
Revisado: 01-07-19
If you love Warhammer and Age of Sigmar, you will enjoy this story as it rolls out the Necroquake and the positions of Nagash and Sigmar. I liked it, even loved some parts (Arkan and Manfred)(Nagash and Arkan), but I never felt connected or invested in the main characters. I finished the book feeling only pity for them, as the truths of their existence and purpose comes to light. That may have been the point of the novel after all. I just was wanted more to like and believe in regarding the main characters. If I could I would score the bv story a 3.5.

this was a fantastic end to the trilogy, with characters being well-developed throughout. Complicated story lines inter woven very beautifully. I really appreciate that the author ended the book the way that he did.
