Historia
Anna Fox lives alone - a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times...and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble. And its shocking secrets are laid bare.

Wonderful Recording

Would you consider the audio edition of The Very Best of Dylan Thomas Reading to be better than the print version?
It's a treat to hear Dylan Thomas reading these beautiful works. I was disappointed that all works were not introduced before the reading of the particular work started. An annoying production flaw. Its still a wonderful listen.

Historia
The Goldfinch is a haunted odyssey through present-day America and a drama of enthralling force and acuity. It begins with a boy. Theo Decker, a 13-year-old New Yorker, miraculously survives an accident that kills his mother. Abandoned by his father, Theo is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend. Bewildered by his strange new home on Park Avenue, disturbed by schoolmates who don't know how to talk to him, and tormented above all by his unbearable longing for his mother, he clings to one thing that reminds him of her: a small, mysteriously captivating painting that ultimately draws Theo into the underworld of art.

Highly recommended - Tartt weaves a tale of tragedy, love and the coming of age with a priceless painting at the center of the drama. The language was beautiful and insights thought provoking. Narration by Pittu is wonderfully entertaining making it one of my all-time favorites.

What did you like best about this story?
Any additional comments?
A very well written story about the human side of the music business. About making it and collateral damage. About being young, getting old, with money and without. About drugs and the best of all - rock and roll because the music is what ultimately mattered. Jennifer Egan brings you into it through the eyes of her characters and Roxana let's you live it through her performance.

A Must Read For Any Entrepreneur
Revisado: 12-05-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Blake Mycoskie shows us that being an entrepreneur doesn't have to be a "dog eat dog" endeavor. Corporations with a positive social mission can be successful with an ROI that goes far beyond anything a balance sheet can calculate. Truly Inspiring.
