Historia
In the absolutely packed Act II, the dark fantasy resumes and the Sandman expands into the French Revolution, ancient Rome, 19th-century San Francisco, eighth-century Baghdad, and beyond. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter.

Historia
Half the world's population speaks a language that has evolved from a single prehistoric mother tongue. First spoken in Stone Age times on the steppes of central Eurasia 6,500 years ago, this mother tongue spread from the shores of the Black Sea across almost all of Europe and much of Asia. It is the genetic basis of everything we speak and write today - the DNA of language.

Boring!!
Revisado: 01-09-21
This book was so boring, I could not finish it. I liked J. M. Auel's Earth's Children series a lot better.

Perfect!!
Revisado: 11-14-20
l love reading/listening about history. In books I read/ listened to was in 99% only information about great kings, queens and their deeds. But I always wanted to know about how ORDINARY people lived too. This book delivered it perfectly.

Great performancie, bad story
Revisado: 10-18-20
I am giving it 2,5 stars (narration 4 stars, story 1 star). I read YA books but this was not my cup od tea. Narration was almost perfect, but the story was far from it. I did not enjoy it, but I hope others will.

Excellenr narrator, poor story!!
Revisado: 03-22-20
The narrator was great. But even the best narrator can not save poor story.
I liked Finnie in the beginning. She was funny and felt real. But later Finnie seemed to be realy stupid.
Frey was sometimes very kind and sometimes real asshole. But I do not mind male heroes behaving like assholes, IF the female heroine stand up to them, makes them regret their actions and appologize to her (the same applies, if the situation is reversed). Finnie sometimes behaved like a doormat.
I wanted more dragons.

Very good, but might have been even better
Revisado: 03-18-20
The background (Muslim society in Canada) of this story is very interesting. The story would be even better if it was more original. I recognized quite enough of Pride and Prejudice in this one (I love Jane Austen).
It is a pitty I cannot give half of a star. It is not quite worthy of 5 stars but it is better than 4, so I give it 4.5 stars.
