Concise, thought provoking, and practical

The first section was a little harrowing. Sharing his experiences was an act of vulnerability that set the stage for his reasoning and realism. JMS provided an outlook that is often forgotten. I found it relevant even as an indie author.

Gritty, heartfelt and powerful

Despite being set on an alien world, this story feels real. The little details put you into the soldier’s life without bogging the listener down. It doesn’t take long to get into the mission that the novel focuses on, and let’s just say that for fetch, it goes from bad to worse to... we’ll you’ll have to listen to find out. I’d recommend this for anyone who is a fan of military sci-fi, but I think the broader sci-fi community will get a loss from this as well. You don’t need to have read any other books from this setting. Go on, use that credit!
