Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Wonderful Introduction to Stephen King!
Revisado: 11-04-22
I never have read any of Kings work..and thought I would start on a non horror one.. Really loved the book!..Great narration by Seth Numrich -he lends much inflection and depth into the story. A tale of wonder and magical places. A story of good vs evil. If you want to escape the coming grey of the winter skies-I suggest Fairy Tale to take you to another land!

Great Storytellers!
Revisado: 09-28-22
Recently came across Mike and Allyson's podcast and really enjoying it. Tells the story very well with some fun banter thrown in to lighten the heavy subject matter!
Thanks!

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.
