Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Reminded me to take a breath, breathe, believe in myself and live life fully. Anxiety will come up but it’s how you work with it not against it.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

This book is a must!
Revisado: 09-15-16
I was unsure coming into this book at first. How foolish! I finish with my heart filled with love, sadness and longing for more. What a good book should leave you feeling with. I have felt part of the characters world and that is truly a rare deep feeling for most books. The many layers that are carefully placed throughout the book gives it a depth to every aspect of the story. This is a must for everyone who is interested in an amazing WW II book. Top 5 favorite books!

Historia
Thomas Hardy's powerful novel of swift sexual passion and slow-burning loyalty centres on Bathsheba Everdene, a proud working woman whose life is complicated by three different men - respectable farmer Boldwood, seductive Sergeant Troy, and devoted Gabriel - making her the object of scandal and betrayal. Vividly portraying the superstitions and traditions of a small rural community, Far from the Madding Crowd shows the precarious position of a woman in a man's world.

This is NOT the whole book!

What would have made Far From the Madding Crowd better?
I am sad that I wasted money on this because this is NOT the whole book! I was following along with penguin edition and they would skip paragraphs just to make it shorter. You really miss a lot of the story. I loved Julie Christies voice thou!
What about Julie Christie’s performance did you like?
