Sometimes Repetitive
Revisado: 12-03-22
Overall it was a good story. Slow character development (intentional and done well) but when the MC repeats his main handicap and how it negatively impacts his tasks over and over and over it seems like Clarke thinks we can’t understand the concept of what is holding the MC back. Honestly if you put the repeated sentiments all together it could take up to an hour of the audiobook. I powered through it and enjoyed it in the end; but I’m just not sure if I really want to continue to the next book or just call it quits. Narrator did a great job though.

Historia
Joe has started to draw attention to himself and his abilities. While some of the attention is good and allows for personal growth, most of it is from various organizations that feel threatened by the sudden upswing of power that Joe's guild - The Wanderers - is attaining. As the threat to Earth begins to reach its peak, all of humanity has a choice: flee to Eternium, or stay for an uncertain future. Some stay, some go, some don't make the choice quickly enough.

Loved it!!!!!
Revisado: 01-27-20
Other reviews complain about the narrator switch so I decided not to re-listen to the previous books before listening to this one. This negated the issue of the narrator switch for me and I could enjoy Luke’s amazing narration without any qualms other than a few names being pronounced differently.
All around it was a perfect continuation of the series where I didn’t need a recap of the other books. It kept me on edge waiting to find out what happens next while making me laugh at terrible puns that were on par with some of the best dad jokes out there. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series and I hope Luke Daniels is able to narrate the rest of the series as well!!!
Thank you Dakota, for sharing your wonderful world with us!!

Swords. Sorcery. Dick Jokes. Truly do the gods smile upon you, dear listener, for the first four books in the hilarious Caverns and Creatures series are now available in one audiobook set. Join Tim, Dave, Julian, and Cooper as they are thrown into a hostile fantasy world filled with magic and monsters, and ruled over by a cruel and sadistic game master who taunts and harasses them while he sits back and eats their fried chicken.

Struggle to get through
Revisado: 12-30-19
It was a good series of books but very repetitive and immature. I laughed at half of the crude jokes when it came unexpectedly but the vast volume of crude humor was mind numbing at best. You can only make the same joke so many times before it gets boring and you want to strangle the author for not being a little more creative.
The character growth is flat for most of the characters. Maybe the next books in the series are better but I can’t bring myself to buy any more books in this series. I won’t listen to this one again either which is rare for me but it was a struggle the first time and it would be torture to listen again. Will be returning this one as it just didn’t hold up to decent LitRPG novels that are out there.
I would recommend The Ten Realms, Awaken Online, and other series over this one to anyone who would like to listen to LitRPG books.

Decent but not that funny
Revisado: 08-12-19
I have been procrastinating when it comes to buying this book but the comments finally sold me on it believing it would be funny. It might be clever here and there but it's not wrought with comedic genius as some people would have you believe. It got better towards the end but overall this book fell short of all the hype from other readers' comments. Jeff Hays performed brilliantly as always.

When Erik and Rugrat entered the ten realms they didn’t know what was going on. They only knew that they had contracted the two week curse. When entering the second realm they came to understand their character sheets, and part of the system that is called the ten realms. A place that the strong make the rules and the weak cling to them for protection and hope that they might be left in peace. They passed through the trials of the Beast Mountain Dungeon, taking control of it and becoming the leader of nearly 200 people.

Loving the series
Revisado: 08-08-19
I love the different take on the main characters background in a ‘trapped in a game like world’ LitRPG book. The wet flatulence scene honestly made me laugh until tears came to my eyes and the names of Eric’s gear got me every time. Great work Michael and Todd!! Can’t wait for the next three books to come out here!!

Dark and depressing
Revisado: 11-16-18
Although I like the change of “they lived happily ever after” I don’t know how much I like the dark side of Jack. Not so much how he acts in the game but his real life choices are disturbing to say the least. I’m not sure if I’ll continue reading this series but I am curious where Castle will take it next.

Historia
Fresh off their victory over Graves and his followers, Marcus and his friends have managed to enjoy a few weeks of relative calm and peace as they continue to build Aldford, preparing the town for a new wave of settlers coming from Eberia. But as the days wear on with no new arrivals in sight, they begin to fear the worse, eventually setting out to search for their promised reinforcements and soon realizing that they weren’t as alone on the frontier as they thought they were.

Awesome continuation of the first book!
Revisado: 08-23-18
Great storyline continuation from where the first book left off. I read book 1 first and now this book after reading the reviews of book 1.5. The second book may not have anything to do with the original book but it does cover the story of a key character that is introduced in this book. I plan on reading book 1.5 next to get that characters background as they play a big part in this book even if they aren’t one of the original supporting characters. Would love a book of short stories from all the supporting characters perspectives about why they chose their classes and give some background into their relationship with Marcus (spelling?). Can’t wait to see where this series goes to next!!!

The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

Great start to a LitRPG Series with a lot of potential
Revisado: 07-31-18
I have read only a handful of LitTPG books so far but this is definitely the best I so far. Creatively written with loads of character development that never seemed to get monotonous or boring. I hope the future books continue to show the fast and furious growth of Joe but I know that it can’t always be this explosive. Great unexpected ending and Vikas Adam does another wonderful performance.

Good story and a good narrator.
Revisado: 01-09-18
The book can be slow at times but never for too long. Interesting characters and power structure but it felt like the world wasn’t fully developed and the characters need to grow more. Finally, I feel that the tiny romantic part was thrown in haphazardly just to please a publisher or satisfy a requirement.
