Absolutely Loved! It both kept me captivated and emotional! It was a great representation of Haymitch’s story and how he came to be who we see during the hunger games. We go through his games where we see they take double boys and girls from each district, and we see his connections with all of the other players especially with the other three from his district and we see either other players or the circumstances in the “dome” and we see the underlying plot to destroy the arena and who helps him. I loved everything about this story and I also loved all the nodes to the other characters that we see through out the hunger games series.

The MMC, Luke, I found a little lack luster sometimes completely closed off at most times running hot and cold.
The FMC, Ellie, I found her a little redundant with her always questioning everything, and going over and over things, including getting married… not getting married… getting married…. not getting married. It got very over done and her lusting over Luke’s brother made her feel like a 16-year-old girl lust after two brothers with no loyalties and then the consent question of Luke. As a publicist she is smart but as a person she seems to make one stupid decision after another. Both characters had great plot lines that led to both their personal growth and their growth as a couple. One thing I did end up enjoying is there wasn’t much miscommunication a little deal when saying something but for the most part, they talk and talk and talk.
In saying this I found both characters pretty enjoyable regardless of their flaws this was a very enjoyable read with the length this book still got me hooked and spent the time doing the story right, character-based yet never felt slow or full of “filler”. Loved seeing the growth between in the main characters and their families. So even if the FMC is a little tedious this was a good book both with a good amount of football, family, and their individual lives outside of their relationship.

Two Men who share one night, need each other after 365 days…
MMC, Jonathon Sharpe, Vice-president turned president of the united states turns to his ex-lover, MMC, Sean Avery, Secret Service Agent when the president of the united states supposedly kills himself and Jonathon doesn’t believe it. Which turns into an intriguing investigation with a great plot! I loved the journey, loved the mystery and loved their romance storyline. This book really shows how friends can truly know each other san any and all evidence and a second chance relationship that is now based in truth, communication and love. Really great writing without much unneeded fluff and action packed yet really understandable and easily readable.
The only flaw I would say is that i wish the audio was either Duet or Dual Narrated.

Lincoln Daniels & Monroe
Really enjoyable story, the fmc Monroe had a hard life with an addict for a mom whom then died when she was ten years old then had to survive foster care and creep men!! The mmc Lincoln, has a cruel father and a drunk mother his brother died when he was younger.
Loved the wrong number turned into texts which become a comfort to her and an obsession for him. It was love at first sight for him and he slowly introduces himself into her life taking care of her… or taking over her struggles with working two jobs and trying to do school full time. I loved the build up to a relationship and then after she finds out they truly find out what there relationship is and what they want from it.

I love the disability rep!! I really enjoyed how both the author and the FMC, Sofiya dealt with the chronic illness and the struggles in regards to it. She seems kind and caring without the naivety that dmc’s usually have. Her father had put her through hell with his shame but she had a great relationship with her sister, and grows to have good relationship with Matteos second, her bodyguard among others. The MMC, Matteo who is the Mafia Don in New York City who had to take back his empire from his uncle whom had stolen it from him.
Enjoyable progression between the two loved that she cooked and had passions and hobbies outside of the romance, and loved that Matteo supports her and challenges her to do more but doesn’t become a push over or spineless over her. Sofiya in the third act conflict was bada*s from how she dealt with what Matteo did to her to her actions with Leona and her gun!! and Cinnamon rolls!!
Loved the Action, Loved the side characters and loved the little details! Loved Noodle him alone get a star!!!

Loved Leona, the assassin
Mila, the FMC’s sister and her bodyguard
Demiteri, The FMC’s Brother
And the FMC’s bodyguard!
- I hope these characters gets there own book!!

A one night stand which turns into a boss employee situation. Scarlett, the FMC losses her families lodge when her Grandfather doesn’t leave it to her, and Jamison and his brother buy it with old family vacations.
Scarlett however acts like a bit or an angry brat although I can’t blame her for being angry but she takes it out on the wrong person. But she is definitely a Bully, edging on cruel at some points, and I was glade when he put his line down after the Hawaiian shirt incident.
I loved seeing Zac & Autumn and there girl!! I hope their grandparents meet, I loved Popps from Zac’s book. I enjoyed Scarlett‘s grandma, loved her speech at the end!
I did enjoy there connection/their spark after they get together!

Love this story! penpals for years, then everything changed and he recognized her and found that she wasn’t who she said she was. Everything from their connection, to the Bullying/Hatred to everything after was based in this emotional intense connection that was beautiful, flawed and grew to honest strength!! if there is one couple i have read that i have no doubts about it would be this one!

This book made me Laugh & Cry

This book made me laugh, made me cry, and made me think!
Clay and Liv, both strong sassy and stubborn girls!! Clay was the high school bully, the mean girl on the lacrosse team and Liv was the girl on the wrong side of the tracks living with her five older brothers. This book had everything from high school drama/bullying and the boarding on hate crime(esk) acts that happened in a privileged rich kids school agains a girl who likes girls from the "wrong" side of the tracks. To the internal struggles that each of the girls face which we glimpse when looking into their minds! A beautifully done portrayal of learning how to march to their own beats and standing up for exactly who they want to be!
On a side note after reading five brother and being totally baffled by that story, I am so incredibly happy I gave this book a shot but do in the end wish that Pen Douglas took the time to give each of the brothers there own book instead of the mess that was that book.

A girl, Caelyn received custody of her three younger siblings and works three jobs to help them, for her siblings to be kids. And, Griffin lost his whole family drowned during a long boat trip. She’s sweet with her family yet lets them be themselves but i didn’t like how she didnt tell Will the basics such as when there mother gets out or the other things that happen that he should know. Im not completely sure what to say about Caelyn she has such silence strength yet still have a young naivety doing things such as not tell the sheriff things when kids she basically calls her own were in danger. Loved how deeply into the kids the book gets and into there separate personalities! The most enjoyable part of the book was Griffin and Wills bromance, and his relationship with the Ava, and Mia as well and seeing the parallels between that and his past with his sister.

Intense story, Ford and Bell’s were connected through her sister, her sister died in a car crash they were all in as teenagers. Ford comes home over a decade later to help at the family bar where she manages and has to deal with the emotional impact that it brings, all the emotional scars that were healed were torn open!
Love the side characters; her best friends and his brother, I am having a hard time seeing any off the page chemistry over all of there baggage and trama, also Bell seems to be so clueless about the mystery with the gifts and leaving her door open. The leaving the door unlocked again right afterwards. Then when she takes a walk along in the dark in the third act i think i literally said please get killed, although it was sarcastically!! Bell seemed slow and steady and stuck closer to the age when her sister died but his journey of self redemption and realization was really well done.
Catherine Cowles is one of the only authors I know that can simultaneously completely captivate me within the story and still be irritated with the nativity of the fmc. Enjoyable read but Im just not sure how much “stay” power this couple actually has!
Perfect ending to a sweet story I choose to focus more on the mystery than the love story!
