The story may have been better than what I got out of this audiobook due to the narrator. She does a fine job with character voices, but everything else has pretty much the same inflection and it seems like she’s trying to get through it as quickly as possible, so I ended up tuning out a lot.

I love a good weird mystery and haunted house stories, so 14 really hit my sweet spot. The story is intricate without getting so complicated that it collapses upon itself towards the end, the characters are familiar without being cliche and the pacing is great so that you keep wanting to know what happens next.
Highly recommend.
