Where does Unintended Consequences rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

So far its one of my favorites, I usually listen to Vince Flynn and Lee Child, like the narrators voice, he brings the characters to life.

What other book might you compare Unintended Consequences to and why?

Good question, its a southern type of look at ghosts and guitars, with deadly decision drama.

What about Chase Walker’s performance did you like?

Perfect voice for the material. Sounds like a Sam Elliott type.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, it covers both extremes.

Any additional comments?

Enjoyed it, something different and fast moving.

Would you consider the audio edition of No Surrender to be better than the print version?

Loved the story, like Butch and Sundance, Bayou and Razor (think Clint Eastwood type) his father, are owners of the most powerful guitar of all time, Leslie Quinn, the beautiful powerful owner of the Bloodstone, all working together to kill the evil ghosts invading the world. Love Chase Walkers voice. Good job.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Razor, funny, mean, get with it, kill them first, ask questions later. Loves grits and gravy.

Have you listened to any of Chase Walker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

yes, excellent, he only has two recordings out.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me laugh and cry. The father Razor made me laugh, the love of Bayou for his daughter in certain scenes was touching.

Any additional comments?

Great for road travelers.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, approached as a basic fun scientific approach to ghost hunting. Has examples of how to write a ghost hunt Charter (the plan.) How to schedule the hunt (Gantt Chart) and how to utilize a Risk Matrix. Finally recycling the knowledge so the same mistakes don't repeat themselves in the Lessons Learned/Post Mortem. Its kind of a check-yourself, before you wreck-yourself approach.

Who was your favorite character and why?

No character

What about Chase Walker’s performance did you like?

If you like Sam Elliot's type of vocals then this is for you. I thought is was perfect for the material.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

How to plan a ghost hunt. The front-end loading of the hunt.

Any additional comments?

well done

If you could sum up Bayou Savage, Guitar Ghostfighter in three words, what would they be?

Ghosts, Guitars, Family

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bayou Savage, Guitar Ghostfighter?

Bayou Savage at the scene in Woosley Heights where the other musicians are getting killed. At the last moment, the old timer, officially retired, Razor Savage, the original guitar ghost fighter surfaces to help fight the evil Magi by embracing Bayou and his guitar as Bayou is about to die. Razor unleashes total hell on the evil ghost with his Clint Eastwood old-school approach to ghost fighting, holding onto his exhausted son for dear life. The descriptions of the mystical musical battles in the book were every musician's dream of having a magical instrument.

What does Chase Walker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They have a chemistry that works. Dean originally writes the book and then Chase adds the color and symmetry. They play well off each other with their different writing styles, both being musicians, they bounce ideas off each other to make the book a book that makes other musicians and entertainers would enjoy. Both like each other and love to laugh.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending of the book where all the pieces come together. Halloween, the guitar coming back to life, the Bloodstone maxed out as the Institute lab blows up. Makes you laugh and cry at the same time. The plan comes together.

Any additional comments?

The book is about a father who loves his son, a son who loves his daughter, about the feelings a musician has when they are playing and performing a song that moves them. About the discovery of magic in a skeptical world, with Bayou being the skeptic of skeptics. About friendship of among two old timers (Bayou and Quirk) and lots of laughter set in a southern environment. A pure enjoyment!
