A must-listen for all wives & girlfriends!

So great to know the inner hearts, minds & motivations of our men. I read this book years ago when I was first married and have kept the words of wisdom about my man in my mind. I've definitely not always relied on these great insights, hence the refresher listen, and it's so good to be reminded of how I can lift my man up and love him the way he needs to be loved.

Idealistic, happy-go-lucky chick lit.

Okay listen if you want a no-real -plot interest other than the typical, romance formula, not that I'm against them...They definitely fulfill a purpose at times, but no real depth either or interest. I would prefer a little more suspense than the "bad guy gets the good girl, with a silly conversational misunderstanding" being the only obstacle to the happy ending. I do like the narrator, Mr. York always does a good job.:)

Another satisfying romance from Le Veque. I've only listened to 2 or 3 narrators of her novels, but this one is one of my favorites. He didn't overplay it, which I find can increase the suspense of the storyline. Subtlety can be everything in an audible novel.

Good story, I'd prefer a less theatrical narrator

Love Kathryn Le Veque's novels, and this one was no exception. I do prefer an understated narrator though and although this one was very good, he was more theatrical. In my opinion, this type of fiction can lose some of its impact if overplayed, I felt that was the case here. Nonetheless an enjoyable listening experience!

Fabulous story & performance, a little short at the end.

Loved the narrator, loved the story line as well. I felt the love storyline lost its significance towards the end, not in substance but in detail. This story was wonderfully written, it just needed more detail (and a couple more love scenes wouldn't have hurt;)) I adore Le Veque's novels, she's a true talent!

Wow! I just loved this book! At first I thought the accent might be cheesy, but after sticking with it for the first couple chapters I was transfixed!! The narrators performance was amazing and the love story was so moving. Julianne Maclean is such a magnificent storyteller!
