Get rid of the narrator
Revisado: 02-13-22
Why can’t the author find a diff narrator for her books. It sounds like the book is being read in a closet. I want a refund on this book but I cant get one.

Historia
As Tudors go, Elizabeth of York is relatively unknown. Yet she was the mother of the dynasty, with her children becoming King of England (Henry VIII), Queens of Scotland (Margaret) and France (Mary Rose) and her direct descendants included three Tudor monarchs, two executed queens, and ultimately, the Stuart royal family.

Historia
A fascinating glimpse into the life of Lady Elinor de Lacey, the illegitimate daughter of Queen Elizabeth I, that will appeal to fans of Tudor era historical fiction. Secreted away from the woman who gave birth to her, Elinor de Lacey is raised in blissful ignorance in the English countryside by a beloved and forward-thinking father, and a loving but remote mother. After her father's death, Elinor defies her mother's wishes and accepts an invitation to become a lady-in-waiting to Elizabeth I in London.

It was better when I read it myself
Revisado: 06-10-13
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I read the book a few years ago and remembered it because I enjoyed the whole plot and twists and turns. Somehow they weren't there.
What could Ella March Chase have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
It must have been in the reading of the book. The narrator could have changed up the voices and emotions a bit.
Do you think The Virgin Queen's Daughter needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
It will need some very strong characters and a lot of twists.
Any additional comments?
I am going to listen to it again and give it another chance.

Historians have long whispered that Elizabeth "the Virgin Queen's" passionate, lifelong affair with Robin Dudley, Earl of Leicester, may have led to the birth of a son, Arthur Dudley. In this exquisite sequel to The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn, Robin Maxwell fashions a stunning fictional account of the child switched at birth by a lady-in-waiting who foresaw the deleterious political consequences of a royal bastard.
