Such a good listen. The stories are very moving. And I can’t help but say that Andrew really gets it across, through each story, that the most fundamentally important family value is LOVE. I greatly enjoyed the inside view the author provides of the relationships between the key players. I grew very weary of the readers imitation of Eleanor's voice. It sounded trivializing. But even that flaw did not detract from the profound wonder of Eleanor Roosevelt and her contribution to the legacy of the FDR administration AND more importantly, what a white person can do to make our nation a more inclusive place despite the power of fear and ignorance that takes the form of racism

loved it the mini the miniseries was very true to it but this book has such depth and great Reflections on what colonialism means.

Story improves but starts slow

The book got better as it went along. Not a fan of Ms. Sayle's version of male character voices, so that made listening more difficult than reading. Story is well written and after first third, good story line.

From the opening of this book, you could understand that you were going to have your assumptions about the natural world fundamentally changed. I am so thankful to Mr. Anthony for sharing and Simon Vance for his excellent delivery.
