Just one long battle

There was nothing special about this book. The story continued but it seemed to me to largely be just a sequence of space combat. There are plot developments that could make the next story quite interesting and I look forward to the next in the series to see if the story arc can get out of the funk.

Absolutely Excellent Story - Sci-fi Meets Fantasy

Nice variation to traditional ship tech

There are two main stories in the novel. A political one and the journey of Ian (the linesman). The political one was fine but the linesman storyline was great. I would love to hear a sequel as there is still a lot of room for the journey to continue but this is a complete novel.

What did you love best about Warbound?
I would characterize this as steampunk with magic. I cannot recommend the series highly enough. The story is great but the reader is superb. Each characters voice is distinctive and reflects their personality. I recommend this to all my friends and family who read fantasy.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Fay is the best, little bit of folksy charm but deadly when the chips are down. Her morals are black and white, mess with me or my friends and you are toast. And yet she is so soft and gentle.
What does Bronson Pinchot bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The character voices are awesome. from the gruff and gravelly Sullivan to the rustic Fay. I can tell who is "speaking" immediately. Awesome. Incredible job
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh yes. And I morn now that it is done.

Do yourself a favour and buy the whole series.
