Historia
Ignorant of civilization and cautioned against its evils, nineteen-year-old Wren and her two sisters, Sage and Evie, were raised in off-the-grid isolation in a primitive cabin in upstate New York. When the youngest grows gravely ill, their mother leaves with the child to get help from a nearby town. And they never return. As months pass, hope vanishes. Supplies are low. Livestock are dying.

Historia
Apparently, there’s no rest for the over-forty crowd. Yes, I have fabulous friends. Yes, I have a beautiful baby. Yes, the ghosts are coming back home. Yes, I’m in love with the Grim Reaper. However, that sexy Demon has got some major ’splainin’ to do … like his possible involvement in the shocking kidnapping of my worst and most deadly enemy. With a drag queen and an ice queen as my back up, we’re going to sashay away into the Darkness to find the truth and turn a wrong into a right. Although, I’m learning fast that black and white are often clouded with shades of gray.

missing something
Revisado: 04-22-23
I feel like the author was tasked with writing x number of words in a period of time and used the f-bomb to reach that word count. honestly, this book and the next book probably could have been merged together. The first two chapters were repeat of the last book which we know is coming. and then there's a part where the bad guy (who I pegged as soon as he said one thing) becomes Daisy that I never heard. and also a part where she talks to Gideon in the second realm that I never heard. I was just tired of hearing f-bombs and they don't normally bother me. I don't know. the storyline towards the end of the book was very good and the narrator is always excellent, although it sounded like she was lisping in this book too. this one wasn't my favorite

just what I needed
Revisado: 09-19-22
As a listener of a certain age, I could completely relate. I love to envision myself as a highly skilled, adventurous, problem solving killer. unfortunately I don't quite make the cut. this just was fun to listen to and I couldn't put it down. I bet they could make this into a movie and sell it out fast. now I have to go investigate the author's other series.

Historia
Punching well above their weight, Max and Markham set out to bring down a sinister organisation founded in the future—with a suspicious focus on the past. Max's focus is staying alive long enough to reunite with Leon and Matthew, alternately helped and hindered by St Mary's—who aren't always the blessing they like to think they are. But non-stop leaping around the timeline—from witnessing Magna Carta to disturbing a certain young man with a penchant for gunpowder—is beginning to take its toll. Is Max going mad? Or are the ghosts of the past finally catching up with her?

story line was timely and I was engrossed. couldn't stop listening! only thing I didn't like was the over exaggerated voice from the millennials , which to be fair, I don't like in real life either. that aside, the book was great!

loud
Revisado: 03-29-21
I found that I had to keep stopping the book because it was just getting loud and I don't mean volume but tone. I ended up reading the last four chapters because I couldn't get past the narrator's voice and that calls narration. with that, the story was great. I always enjoy it. it was busy.

Historia
After a devastating loss, Brynn Wilder escapes to Wharton, a tourist town on Lake Superior, to reset, and checks into a quaint boardinghouse. In her fellow lodgers, she finds a friendly company of strangers: the frail Alice, cared for by a married couple with a heartbreaking story of their own; LuAnn, the eccentric and lovable owner of the inn; and Dominic, an unsettlingly handsome man inked from head to toe in mesmerizing tattoos. But in this inviting refuge, a mystery begins to swirl. Alice knows things about Brynn, about all of them, that she shouldn’t.

Not what I was expecting - but that's OK!
Revisado: 11-22-20
Having read several Wendy Webb books, i was expecting a little more paranormal and a little less romance. But that's OK. Without spoiling the plot for other readers, it is stuck in my brain and heart. Full of things "to think about" and so much ageless, timeless romance. I only wish my own relationship was that wonderful. I travel a lot and listen to books with my copilot and we sometimes have to talk at the end. This time we were sobbing (very rare) and couldn't. Wendy - you have outdone yourself with this one. We had to listen to Stephanie Plum next --
One thing that I will say - I love the narrator's voice with the women and the regular story line. I think you need a similar narrator for male characters. They seem to sound old, or worn -- which is fine for an older character, but not a few young gay guys!

Historia
As a tabby cat with criminal tendencies, MacGyver is always a whisker away from trouble. But when he stumbles upon a litter of four motherless kittens, he really has his paws full. It's clear Mac has to take care of the cuddly little furballs, at least until he finds them each a human. That's not going to be easy though. Not when Mac's the prime suspect in a series of thefts at Storybook Court - and his loving but concerned owners, Jamie and David, have put him under house arrest. As if that could stop a clever cat like Mac....
