An unbelievable story about overcoming challenges

A very good read for anyone looking for inspiration or needing motivation. His perspective is balanced and the ghost writer does a good job capturing the life of David Goggins. Lots of profanity so this isn't a book for kids or young children.

Cant figure out the morale of the story

The story begins well. I got confused midway with the Christian author of a marriage self help book teases the main character, but then doesnt pursue an extra martial affair. This angers her and then she agrees with her spouse to try the principles from the marriage book. These turn out to work and improve the marriage. The story ends with comments from her lesbian sister about marriage. The morale of the story is not as evident to me as I would like.

A thrilling read but a bit heavy on violence

great story for someone who loves those who did it kind of stories. Lots of story twists as the drunk lead character tries to put the pieces together. Now, this read will be a hard one to get through if the reader has ever been a victim of domestic abuse, infidelity, and accidental death of a child. These are fictional stories but justice wasn't exactly strong enough to overcome the stories sad string of events. Otherwise, I would recommend this book.

it was good to know the impact of an a****** on an organization and on Team Dynamics. one thing I wish the author could have explained was some of the solutions to handle a****** other than firing them. I say this because many of the listeners may be like myself and do not have the power to fire or avoid a******* in the workplace. good read though.

Beware of Erotic/Sensual References

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I wasn't prepared for the multiple references to lesbian experiences or the descriptive flashbacks one character keep having. about his mother's affair. With explicit detail the author describes breasts, female parts, etc. This is not what I thought this book would contain. Unless you are into that walk away from it.
What could the authors have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Leave the sexual experiences out or prep the reader about it's explicit nature
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
They both did a great job. Their accents made for good listening.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Curiosity at first. I wanted to know where the story plot was going. Then disappointment. I couldn't see the rest of the story through the sex and descriptions of orgasms.
