I am already looking forward to the next book in this series. The killer is revealed fairly early on, so it is more of a cat and mouse mystery than a whodunit. There was a delicious tension throughout, and the characters were complex. Napoleon Ryan gets kudos as the reader. The characters had distinct voices both in timbre an accent. Some of the female characters' voices were so dead on that I forgot that a man was the one doing the reading. The voice of the killer was pure velvety menace.

OK but not Great

It wasn't bad, but there were a couple of problems with it. Maybe I just got lucky, but I thought the culprit was obvious from the get go. The narrator was also OK in general but gave the love interest a high nasal voice. I kept seeing Urkel in my mind every time he spoke.
