Fantastic story, a little overdramatized by the narrator
Revisado: 01-04-24
An absolute banger from the author, but unfortunately the narrator (the very talented Marc Thompson) gets just a little too over dramatic in his narration sometimes. Love the sound effects and music, though; it makes the experience very immersive.

Historia
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

Beautiful performance with technical issues
Revisado: 11-09-23
This should be a flawless audiobook. A talented actor gives an engaging performance of an iconic, dark, and twisted blend of Gothic tragedy and what we now know as science-fiction. That by itself is amazing. Sadly, technical flaws like two takes making their way to the final mix and the entire finale in the Arctic Circle being labeled “End Credits” hold this one back from being the perfect audiobook.

Exciting, compelling, and just wonderful! Highlights to the two men playing the main character. I want more work from Augustine Institute on Audible!
