Refreshing and suspenseful
Revisado: 10-29-22
This is not the kind of book I would usually consume. However, it was very well done. It wonderfully depicts spiritual battle, the power of God, and the consequence of choice. The characters were so well done you’d think they were real. Even though it’s not my go to genre, I look forward to the next in the series.

Great performance, interesting story, rambling writing
Revisado: 09-24-22
There is a lot to be liked about this audio book. It’s wicked long, the orator is amazing, and the world is interesting. However, the way it is written is very explanatory instead of experiential. I find myself zoning out during the author’s long winded tangents. It would be far more engaging and memorable if the reader or listener were shown instead of told things.
If it happened infrequently I would’ve never noticed. However, it’s happening all the time.
I may end up returning it. That would be a first for me.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

The female narrator was meh
Revisado: 01-24-22
At first I was annoyed with her narration. It was awkward and I could tell how often she stopped and recorded mid sentence.
I ended up getting used to it, but I still haven’t gotten to the point of getting over it

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

A thrilling image of the past
Revisado: 08-05-16
The book had an incredible way of making you feel the joy, fear, relief and peace that the characters felt in the story. At first I didn't below I would like the story, but with the incredible narration it swept my doubts aside easily. While this was fiction, every aspect of it felt like truth. It's a book I will never forget.
