Historia
Set in present-day Los Angeles, Junk explores an epic conspiracy, one at work for thousands of years that involves total takeover of the planet Earth by aliens. In the wild, souped-up vision of Les Bohem - the acclaimed, Emmy-winning writer of the Steven Spielberg miniseries, Taken - the world is at the end stage of long-range plot that involves a gigantic genetic-engineering project. The aliens who have invaded us have no planet. No spaceship is coming. Instead, a small advance force comes, breeds, and dies - thus becoming an anomaly in our DNA that can’t be explained.

Mars Attacks plothole
Revisado: 12-18-21
The story starts off pretty good with a police officer who investigates a murder of a rich girl. Than some weird stuff happen and he has to make some sense of it all. But then they introduce so many characters that you get lost soon and their purpose to the story sometimes unknown ...
SPOILER: Apparently it's all about aliens that were already inside of us or in some of us atleast, they get to power and have to be defeated ofcourse but their weakness is literally from Mars Attacks..
Narrator does a good job. The intention of the story and criticism of our consumerism is good but the story is a bit of a mess.

Historia
The year is 2033. The world has been reduced to rubble. Humanity is nearly extinct and the half-destroyed cities have become uninhabitable through radiation. Beyond their boundaries, they say, lie endless burned-out deserts and the remains of splintered forests. Survivors still remember the past greatness of humankind, but the last remains of civilisation have already become a distant memory. Man has handed over stewardship of the earth to new life-forms.

Historia
There are tales of Middle-earth from times long before The Lord of the Rings. The story told in this book is set in the great country that lay beyond the Grey Havens in the West: lands where Treebeard once walked, but which were drowned in the great cataclysm that ended the First Age of the World.

tough story
Revisado: 03-13-20
depressing story, lots of names and places at the beginning which could be confusing but good performance, chapters do not match chapters of the book though.

Michael Pollan, known for his best-selling nonfiction audio, including The Omnivores Dilemma and How to Change Your Mind, conceived and wrote Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World as an Audible Original. In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

nice insight on caffeine in our daily lives
Revisado: 02-12-20
some history on caffeine, chemical reactions in the brain and effect in our daily life. nicely told except the many #"quote". good to give examples but is annoying to hear in a few sentences after eachother. Some of his reasoning seems a bit backwards (couse-effect) but overall really interesting listening.
