I love these stories about love and family.
Revisado: 09-29-24
These stories are sweet, and I have listened to all of them, but the narrator… why do the men have to sound sinister? She whispers their voices… it’s annoying.

Lovely beach read!
Revisado: 08-19-24
I like these stories, they are sweet with enough conflict to hold your attention. And I love hearing about the sisters and their strong sense of family. Great “beach reads”. That being said, the narration was horrible. Not so much with the female voices, but the male voices were whispered. I think she was going for a gravelly voice but it came out as either sinister, as in the FBI agent or wimpy. Kind of unpleasant listening.

Sweet story,
Revisado: 08-11-23
Predictable but you have expect that since that’s why you picked it, for a nice light listen. The narration was horrible. She couldn’t even do a believable male voice. (Xe Sands is one of the best, she would have done a much better job with this story). And— spoiler alert— if she referred to her “lady parts” one more time…. 🙄

Very sweet…
Revisado: 09-11-22
In fact my teeth hurt!!!! Haha. I had to listen to the whole series of course and it was very wholesome. It was also Nice to have 8 parts because so many times I listen to a book and wonder “then what happened” to the characters? My only complaint??? Reviewers that gave away the ending before I had a chance to listen, but I figured the story would turn out as it did.

Tough to write an accurate review.
Revisado: 06-25-22
It’s hard to write an accurate review with 2 different stories and 2 different narrators. I have to say I enjoyed the first book and narrator. The second book was a little long and drawn out, with repeated scenarios. And I do wish the male characters would be played by men if the female narrator can’t speak the way men do. The male characters sound like simpering wimps. But the first story is definitely worth the credit spent!

Disappointing
Revisado: 02-17-22
I was really looking forward to listening to this book but while the story was ok, the narration left a lot to be desired…. Maybe if they used real men for the voices of the men the story would have been more enjoyable.

Nice story but honestly, the narrator needs a little work on her accents. Or maybe the story needs a new narrator. Nevertheless it’s a worthwhile listen.

In 1978, Lizzie Morgan and Ritchie Schneider embark on a whirlwind romance on the bright beaches and glamorous yachts of Long Island. Over the years, their relationship has its share of ups and downs, including a nine-month hiatus that ends with a stunning eleven-carat ring—one that looks just like the diamond Richard Burton gifted Liz Taylor after their own separation. Like the famous couple, despite the drama that would unfold throughout the Schneiders’ marriage, the ring would be there as a symbol of their love…until it wasn't.
