Historia
In the era of screens and devices, the average American spends 90 percent of their time indoors, and children are no exception. Not only does this phenomenon have consequences for kids’ physical and mental health, it jeopardizes their ability to understand and engage with anything beyond the built environment. Thankfully, with the right mind-set, families can find beauty, meaning, and connection in a life lived outdoors. Here, outdoors expert Steven Rinella shares the parenting wisdom he has garnered as a father whose family has lived amid the biggest cities and wildest corners of America.

Historia
What does it take to be one of the world's best high-altitude mountain climbers? A lot of fundraising; traveling in some of the world's most dangerous countries; enduring cold bivouacs, searing lungs, and a cloudy mind when you can least afford one. It means learning the hard lessons the mountains teach. Steve House built his reputation on ascents throughout the Alps, Canada, Alaska, the Karakoram, and the Himalaya that have expanded possibilities of style, speed, and difficulty.

Historia
Drawing on dozens of intimate audio interviews with families from all across the country, award-winning psychologist and writer Andrew Solomon redefines what it means to be an “ideal family” in America today. Solomon observes that America, led in large part by the women’s, civil rights, and gay rights movements, has undergone a radical social shift in the last few decades. Although the structure of family has changed, economic and legal structures lag behind and need to adapt to accommodate this explosive new reality.

I consider myself as a conservative & i loved this book
Revisado: 11-26-21
We often tend to dissect anything to black or white, progressive or backward, liberal or conservative. Little do we focus on how ppl feel about their OWN situation. Whether you agree or disapprove, that’s your choice & opinion. You do not have to live their lives you do not agree with. But you should let other live by their choices without judgment.
Live & let live is the only way forward. And despite i agree with many families setups, i couldn’t but sympathize and feel heartbroken for some of these families who went through hell to create their own family.
Read it without judgment

Historia
The United Nations is one of the most famous bodies in the world, and its predecessor, the League of Nations, might be equally notorious. In fact, President Woodrow Wilson’s pet project was controversial from nearly the minute it was conceived. At the end of World War I, Wilson's pleas at the Paris Peace Conference relied on his Fourteen Points, which included the establishment of a League of Nations, but while his points were mostly popular amongst Americans and Europeans alike, leaders at the Peace Conference largely discarded them and favored different approaches.

Very repetitive, nothing new for any person with average organizational skills.
The summary has all the content you need, even that content could have been written in a short blog.

Revisado: 09-03-20
Very simple and straightforward podcast. Easy to listen to, easy to grasp, kids friendly.
I just didn’t like the last bit of the last episode when they mentioned the human current impact on global warming. It felt as if it was forced into the story, and kind of took away from the grandeur of this story. But I still recommend to listen to this one, it is amazing.
