Figured I needed a refresher so I added this to my library and found it a refreshing review of the basics and the not-so-basic stuff that writers often forget along the way. Highly recommend to any author out there, new or established, for craft and practical information.

This is a short narration but it will stay with you for a long time.

I'm a city girl through and through so this was a real eye-opener for me. I loved the narrator's accent and delivery and Owen's honesty about how life is for a shepherdess.

Loved the initial glimpse behind one of the most memorable scenes of "Breaking Bad" but the novelty wore off later on. I did enjoy learning about Cranston's life and his struggles as an actor and appreciate his honesty about his craft and the journey he's had so far.

I've been following Christopher Vogler's Hero's Journey interpretation for years and always got stumped when it came to certain things that had to do with the hero's motivations. Well, that's what Michael Hauge's specialty is and I'm glad I discovered this gem of a talk that has both Vogler and Hauge discussing the hero's two journeys. Definitely crystalized a few things for me.

It must have been ages since I listened to the book back when I had it on CD but I had to give it another listen because I wanted to jog my memory a bit before watching Hannibal on network TV. Season 1 was good, Season 2 not so good, so I went back to the original material including this one.

What happens when Frank McCourt narrates the story of his life? Perfection happens. I remember reading this back 2009 and I even had a personalized sign copy of the book that a co-worker borrowed and never returned (never again) and when the audio came out (back then in audio cassettes), I bought my own copy as well. McCourt has this lyrical way of speaking and every emotion is there in his narration. If you think you have it bad, read/listen to his memoir. He lived an amazing life and this ranks up there among my favorite reads and listens through the years. When it showed up on Audible years later, I had to have it and give it re-listen.
