Worth the effort

Well, this sure ain’t no military science-fiction! However, that’s a good thing – It’s a very smart, sometimes confusing story. At times I had to back up 15 or 30 seconds because I wasn’t paying attention. This story needs your attention. A very thought provoking and convincing scenario describing first contact. I really enjoyed it!

Patience!

This is a hard book to put into audio, and I appreciate its complexity, the jumping between timelines, trying to keep track of so many different characters, not to mention getting used to the French-African accent of the narrator. The story was well thought out with a more or less satisfying ending and opening for the next in the series. But I think I would have gotten more out of it by reading it. If you’re gonna go for this, be patient- many things start out frustratingly opaque but eventually everything gets explained. I did grow weary at times with the repeating pattern of not knowing what the hell was going on and then figuring it out. But at least the answers came. It didn’t help that I listened to this while driving, so it always took time to get up to speed every time I resumed listening. Patience!

Fantastic!

I can’t believe how well this story kept me on the edge of my seat! T. Ryder Smith performed an over the top narration of this story. When the action was intense, his voice and pacing perfectly captured the moment. At times, I had to think hard about the descriptions of quantum theory, the societal structures or other parts of the action, but this only made for a very, very engaging story. I would say this is not a story for the casual teenage consumer-it’s really a step or two above that. Bravo!!

With a sense of humor to boot!

A good romp! We humans certainly have our ability to bluff as the ace up our sleeve! A good entertaining story compellingly read with an underlying sense of humor that kept me glued to earbuds. Looking forward to the next installment!

Addictive!

Yet another fantastic performance by R. C. Bray. An absorbing story and I disagree with others that the ending was disappointing. It was really the only possible ending. Still I was left wanting more, but that kind of fits the story. Excellent writing and well worth the time and money! I’m gonna look for more stories by this guy.

Better than I expected

I read all 3 of the Trilogy and wasn’t too invested in the Armor part of the overall story at first. By the end of this book I was definitely back on board and am gonna start looking for the next in this series! Very addictive! And I love anything Luke Daniels reads. What a great job - so many great character voices, not to mention select sound effects - fabulous! Bravo!

This monkey is satisfied

RC Bray is a superstar reader! So many great believable voices and read convincingly and in a manner completely in line with the atmosphere of the story. I particularly loved the
Maxault voices - I couldn’t stop smiling and chuckling. A great story that had me cracking up a lot! Yeah the plot is somewhat formulaic, but still quite imaginative and I can never get enough of the awesomeness of that asshole beer can. When is Book 6 coming out? They’d better not use the wrong wormhole - aww crap, I bet they will!

A satisfying end

The action picks up quickly and I don't know how Luke Daniels can keep track of all the different voices! All the loose ends seem accounted for- what a fun addictive series this was!

Left me feeling inspired

This was a very inspiring story. An excellent portrayal of the concept of the multiverse. But most of all it was a story about how much we make our own reality. You don't need to be a science lover to get impressed by this powerful and empowering concept. Lots of great twists in the plot- there were plenty of times when I was surprised, thinking that the story was going in another direction. I highly recommend! Why not 5 stars? Well, there were a few places in the plot where I couldn't understand why the main protagonist made some of his choices. But these were minor problems- overall, a great story!
