Historia
One moment June Nealon was happily looking forward to years full of laughter and adventure with her family, and the next she was staring into a future that was as empty as her heart. Now her life is a waiting game. Waiting for time to heal her wounds, waiting for justice. In short, waiting for a miracle to happen. For Shay Bourne, life holds no more surprises. The world has given him nothing, and he has nothing to offer the world. In a heartbeat, though, something happens that changes everything for him.

Historia
"In many respects, it is my first mainstream novel.
Here is the story of three families: the Warrens and the Whytes, wealthy, powerful, and connected by the marriage of Deborah Warren and Mark Whyte; and the not-so-wealthy Morells - Cassie, the loyal housekeeper for the Warrens, and her daughter, Katia, who grew up with and adores the Warren and Whyte children."

Disappointed
Revisado: 07-29-17
I usuallly love Barbara Delinsky's books. This one was like slogging through mud. The back story kept being injected at the wrong time and the narrator was awful. I really had a difficult time following the story as the narrator's voice was annoying enough to get in the way of the story.

Fourteen-year-old Carey and six-year-old Jenessa have been living in the woods with their mother for as long as they can remember; the sheltering trees and a broken-down camper are all they know. But what they’ve never been told is that Carey vanished from the real world ten years ago, when their mother took her, causing an uproar in the media - and in her father’s life.

I could not stop listening to this book and kept finding tasks that I could complete and still listen. after I finished it I went on a search for other books by this author and unfortunately found none. I'll be re-listening to this one again soon.

Historia
The morning of her niece's wedding, Margo Just drinks a double martini and contemplates the many mistakes she's made in her fifty-odd years of life. Spending three decades in love with a wonderful but unattainable man is pretty high up on her list of missteps, as is a long line of unsuccessful love affairs accompanied by a seemingly endless supply of delicious cocktails.

I never finished this as I was annoyed by it from the start and just couldn't listen after the first few chapters.

Yes
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Her voice irritated me too.
Do you think The Bette Davis Club needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
NO!!!!
Any additional comments?
I really was looking forward to a book that would make me laugh during my walks but this just made me stop and switch to a different book

abridged story
Revisado: 04-17-15
What would have made The Waterfall better?
This abridged version was atrocious. Charaters (a strong point in Neggars' books) came out of nowhere and there was no development. Nothing made sense until I read the book to figure it out.I usually avoid abridged versions but missed that indication when I bought this audiobook. What a waste of money
Has The Waterfall turned you off from other books in this genre?
Only on abridged versions of anything
