I've always loved Jodi Piccoult books for both their calculates complexity and their captivating catastrophes, and this book delivered on both! A thrilling, heartbreaking, complicated look at the impact of broken things in our lives, and the cost of putting those things back together - this book takes you on a wildly tragic ride from start to finish.
Be sure to read with tissues nearby! And for all my fellow bakers out there, the book has tasty treats built in, so reading near a kitchen might be the route to go!

Beautifully Performed and Critically Relevant

I inhaled this book, thanks to the amazing performance. So many of the takeaways are still relevant for the race issues today, particularly if one is willing to look beyond the media-created caricature of Malcolm X and listen to the heart of man that goes through a series of life transitions, sharing with us his lessons and learnings.

Fun adventure to listen to!

What a fun story to come across. The author does a great job of crafting a realistic character and the narrator brings Wally Roux to life perfectly! It's an exciting coming of age story with a fairly unique twist on the normal woes of teenage life. Highly recommend!
