Historia
A startling and revelatory examination of Nabokov’s life and works—notably Pale Fire and Lolita—bringing new insight into one of the twentieth century’s most enigmatic authors. Novelist Vladimir Nabokov witnessed the horrors of his century, escaping Revolutionary Russia then Germany under Hitler, and fleeing France with his Jewish wife and son just weeks before Paris fell to the Nazis. He repeatedly faced accusations of turning a blind eye to human suffering to write artful tales of depravity. But does one of the greatest writers in the English language really deserve the label of amoral aesthete bestowed on him by so many critics?

Death and the Holy Grail
Revisado: 11-11-18
Well secrets are secret. There’s plenty of them. What’s the difference between that one and a lie. Sometimes reality cannot tell. So enough doom and gloom, have no idea about the author, as enough time passes one realizes perhaps some at least this truth. And now the facts speaking politely who isn’t interested, even in the lounge of course. Just cant set your watch to even an hour. So realizing time and place and circumstances it’s hard to imagine someone not writing out on something everyone thinks about...some say at least every few seconds or whatever. It’s life and so the stories go. It’s really so ever hard to get it right. So was read...

Historia
From Berlin to the Congo, from Moscow to the back streets of London, these are the stories of the agents on the front lines of British intelligence. And the truth is often more remarkable than fiction.
MI6 has been cloaked in secrecy and shrouded in myth since it was created a hundred years ago. Our understanding of what it is to be a spy has been largely defined by the fictional worlds of Ian Fleming and John le Carré. Gordon Corera provides a unique and unprecedented insight into this secret world and the reality that lies behind the fiction.

If you’re into that whole audio served cold, get the headphones on, even though in space it’s already usually too late when you’ve been served at the cafeteria

It’s great there’s research done on the past. Although the fictive or non-fictive matters always seem to collide. A cherished memory of the country - it’s a true and eloquent American pyramid built up and a marvelous wonder of the world. No one source nor all of them will ever discover nor practically imagine the person and the times. Indeed, History at its best is mere legend and lore. Everything other than that one can only imagine from what artifact remains in time.
