Old radio type of production: GREAT
Revisado: 04-28-25
The old time radio production is certainly a very different genre from someone just reading a book. It wasn’t even a minute into the show before I recognized it wasn’t going to be a simple reading, so I sat back and enjoyed the show. Complete with excellent writing, editing, great acting and the sound effects told me where we were and what was going on. Really enjoyed the show very much!

Historia
A twisted tale of murder in the world of big-stakes bass fishing tournaments. Filled with ex-wives, evangelists, and an armed pit-bull, this is a story that could only be concocted by Carl Hiaasen, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, New York Times best-selling author, and czar of Florida noir fiction.

Historia
It's a crisp, snowless October in The Park. The root cellar is full, the cordwood is stacked, the oil drums are filled and there’s a freshly-butchered moose in her cache, but Kate Shugak must leave her cabin and head into the chaos of Anchorage, where the Alaska Federation of Natives’ annual convention is being held. Why? Because board members of the Niniltna Native Association have been dying...board members who just happened to oppose a lucrative new development project.

Historia
When Park Ranger Anna Pigeon answers a call to historic Mt. Locust, once a producing plantation and inn on Mississippi's Natchez Trace Parkway, the last thing she expects to encounter is a naked and very dead man. His body bears what looks like the brutal scars of an S&M ritual gone terribly wrong. When the deceased turned out to be the brother of a candidate for the office of local sheriff, a host of cover-ups, hidden agendas, old allegiances, and buried secrets begins to emerge.

Heart pounding action; heart wrenching angst!
Revisado: 10-17-23
Dana Stabenow develops characters to the point that we care very much what happens to them. Hunter’s Moon is not your namby pamby waltz through the park. It is a tragic story of great sacrifice, courage and loss. I’ve listened to it many times and still get misty eyed every time. Well worth your time to listen!

So many twists and turns in this highly characterized tale composed of several plot developments and reversals. Sets the reader up perfectly for the next book in the series while at the same time providing a whole and complete story herein: does not leave the reader confused or hanging. Great skill craft.
