Historia
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

Where’s the love?
Revisado: 04-18-22
There are way better books out there on this topic. The game is required reading before a lot of this book will make sense. No More Mr Nice Guy, Atomic Attraction, The way of the superior man (both books), Mating in captivity. All those books are MUCH better for the same self development concepts because they don’t completely ignore the fact that love exists in this world.
Will this book be what’s some dudes need to hear? Yes it’s straight talk that explains concepts of hypergamy and how females select a mate. This will be a good for some dudes deeply clinging on the their nice guy vibe and losing.
It really ends there. This is a series of blog posts where the author right clicks and uses the MS word thesaurus to sound smarter than he actually is.
The facts conveyed might help dudes get their act together and understand they need to have value to get a valuable partner but the book is written in a really bitter tone. There is no mention of love in the entire book it’s 50% a rant about hypergamy.
The weirdest thing about this book is that the author is married but writing a book primarily speaking against long term relationships for single dudes? And he purports to have slept w a whopping 40 chicks? That’s the inflated published number, not the real one, kind of low for an author who is selling advice on the topic just imo.
My advice skip this one and read the really good ones I mentioned above.

Basic stuff
Revisado: 12-04-20
The main takeaway is don’t use text for anything past scheduling or driving action.
This is basically a 2.5 hour podcast of Marc Summers running through the basics of texting. To me it felt like a 45 year old guy trying to teach 50 year old guys how to text 40 year old women.

Don’t dig too deep
Revisado: 12-02-20
Would a robust analysis of this book prove that it is deeply flawed? Yes.
Is it chock full of confidence boosting tips for keeping women guessing and attracted to you? Also yes.
Th
There is nothing new about this book but it is a very straightforward approach to picking up ladies that in all honestly, just works.
The book is geared toward talking sensitive dudes off the ledge of putting too much out there too soon. At the time it was what I needed to read and I enjoyed it.

The Harry Potter series is one the the greatest fantasy adventure series ever written. This is the climatic ending to a 7 year voyage that has gripped the entire world.

For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

Not an audiobook
Revisado: 11-05-19
After each chapter there is an equal amount of back and forth bro talk style banter between David Goggins and his ghost writer. For some it might be interesting to get deeper into the story for me it was unbearable because of the changes in rhythm. David Goggins story is very interesting but the number of times he says “you know, you just gotta do this” and the conversational style of communication during the bro talk breaks makes the book seem trite.
I’ll try to get through it again when it comes out without the banter.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

The book is titled as a memoir of a family and culture in crisis, but it is very heavily slanted towards a family. Not a bad read and JD Vance seems like a good guy. I was hoping for more insight about the American working class and a little less about this one family.

Not completely irrelevant
Revisado: 05-25-17
The performance was very well done. Each character has its own unique voice that felt authentic. I would say that sometimes the voices can be a little grading. I feel like sci-fi loses some of its relevance overtime because this book was set in 1992 that had lost some of its relevance. An interesting read and worth the time.
