Historia
For those who witnessed the global collapse of socialism, its resurrection in the 21st century comes as a surprise, even a shock. How can socialism work now when it has never worked before? In this pathbreaking audiobook, best-selling author Dinesh D’Souza argues that the socialism advanced today by the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, Ilhan Omar, and Elizabeth Warren is very different from the socialism of Lenin, Mao, and Castro.

Almost Brilliant
Revisado: 08-08-20
Dinesh does an outstanding summation of where we are today with progressives all around us; in the media, political arena, the universities and our culture. His understanding and explaining the deep state is revealing, enlightening and disconcerting for any patriotic American. It’s very present, compelling and encouraging to know that we still have an opportunity to squelch the msm, take our universities back from the Marxist, and put an end to socialism myths. And for the good of our children and their children. One regret for Dinesh, his Lincoln statements lack a true historical understanding of who Lincoln really was which plays into the ongoing narrative of the righteous north and the demon south within our country. The good people of the South didn’t start that most horrible war. Lincoln was no great leader but an empire builder, a dishonest politician. I believe Dinesh just chooses the easy deification of Lincoln route on that part of America’s history. Of course, the winner writes the account and that’s what Dinesh has been taught. Take the Lincoln out of his book, and it’s a 100% win for good American patriots.

Historia
They called him Mickey Free. His kidnapping started the longest war in American history, and both sides - the Apaches and the white invaders - blamed him for it. A mixed-blood warrior who moved uneasily between the worlds of the Apaches and the American soldiers, he was never trusted by either but desperately needed by both. He was the only man Geronimo ever feared. He played a pivotal role in this long war for the desert Southwest from its beginning in 1861 until its end in 1890 with his pursuit of the renegade scout Apache Kid.

Gripping detail
Revisado: 12-05-19
I’ve read Paul Hutton over the years and was looking forward to this work. I was not surprised or the least bit disappointed. The amazing amount of detail is mind boggling, all the way to the end when we find out what happens to these many folks on both sides of the conflict. Outstanding

Historia
It is December 1878, and war looms on the horizon in South Africa. British high commissioner Sir Henry Bartle-Frere seeks to dismantle the powerful neighboring kingdom of the Zulus and uses an incursion along the disputed border as his justification for war. He issues an impossible ultimatum to the Zulu king, Cetshwayo, demanding he disband his armies and pay massive reparations. With a heavy heart, the king prepares his nation for war against their former allies.

Truth in Fiction?
Revisado: 07-10-18
So believable that one might think the dialogue was from the mouths of those soldiers and officers of the Queens army. The vast research which must’ve taken course by Mace is overwhelming to consider. However, all accounts of this greatest defeat in the Victorian army, which I have studied prove up Mace’s outstanding representation.

Historia
The true story (on which the film Jeremiah Johnson was partially based) of John Johnson, who in 1847 found his wife and her unborn child had been killed by Crow braves. Out of this tragedy came one of the most gripping feuds - one man against a whole tribe - in American history.

If the sources are good , this is quite the interesting version of Johnson, the liver eating Crow killer. Very entertaining though the voices are a bit distracting. I’ll listen again.

Astounding
Revisado: 03-28-18
The book moved right along with very detailed descriptions of places, people, names.
Sometimes difficult to understand the differences in the missions without backtracking.
James Cameron Stewart is a great reader.
