Historia
In the pulse-pounding final installment of the Marcus Ryker series, the leaders of Communist China are secretly plotting to invade Taiwan and challenge American supremacy in the Pacific. And no one in Washington has any idea what’s coming. Marcus Ryker has been tasked with hunting down Abu Nakba, the most wanted terrorist in the world. The latest intel sends him and his team to Pakistan. There, they discover a horrifying secret inside a state-of-the-art lab. Marcus orders the lab rigged with explosives, but the plan goes bad, and a massive explosion rocks the city.

Nice Finish to the Series
Revisado: 04-21-25
For a man who considers that God has called him to protect his country, it is not a reach that he wants to continue to eliminate this final great hazard. That he and Annie submitted resignations to confirm this was his last mission emphasized this would be the last of the Marcus Riker series as the defender of the USA.
Unfortunately, while the vocal quality of the audio was okay, not great, the rhythm was awful. There were pauses as though to gulp a breath, while other places flowed, when a period would have ended a sentence - the perfect place for a breath. This irregularity made a distraction to the story line. Since there was little variation in the heard speech, it was hard to discern who was talking. I much prefer when women read the women's voices and men read the men's. Beyond that sometimes the speaker does different tones for each character. On critical points, this narration rather than radio-play style was confusing.

I liked the characters and their quirks. The story told us some things; yet, left others for surprises for the characters and us,

Historia
On an isolated Texas ranch, Dr. Lucy cares for abandoned animals. The solitude allows her to avoid the people and places that remind her of the past. Not that any of the townsfolk care. In 1959, no one is interested in a woman doctor. Nor are they welcoming Calvin and Justin Bell, a newly arrived African American father and son.

Historical perspective on Loving vs Virginia
Revisado: 02-06-18
What did you love best about Say Goodbye for Now?
I really liked how the authoress explores the reality of proximity versus commonality in relationships of the main character, as he deals with major issues of 1900s and 1960s.
What did you like best about this story?
Petey had heart, and a natural understanding of what is right, although how he acquired that in his circumstances is amazing.
What does Nick Podehl and Teri Schnaubelt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I like the different voices, but would have been better if it was more a radio - play than each chapter by one reader.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
On our long trip, it was ideal for keeping us awake while driving on deserted straight roads.

On the edge
Revisado: 05-17-15
What made the experience of listening to Double Cross the most enjoyable?
The different voices were extremely well done.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Constant twists and surprises. Who is/are the villain(s)?
Have you listened to any of Suzy Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
The first one.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me tense with suspense.
Any additional comments?
The story keeps you guessing, but in the end, the denouement is wonderful.

conflict too evil
Revisado: 04-21-15
What made the experience of listening to Teton Romance Trilogy Bundle the most enjoyable?
The main characters are ones you want to get to know. I found the villains to be overdrawn, though, in their evil. Maybe I just have never known anyone this obsessed with others as though they are objects rather than people.
What did you like best about this story?
Romance triumphs, despite harrowing difficulties at times.
Have you listened to any of Steve Marvel’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I am sure this is a hard thing to do, to have all these characters with different voices; still, I found the female voices too masculine sounding.
