This new book blends frontline science with inspirational stories and insights from wise elders for aging with health, joy, and purpose. The book explains how our bodies and brains age, defining what can be expected with aging and what is unusual. It demonstrates ways we can significantly increase our chances for a positive aging experience into our eighties, nineties, and hundreds.

I especially like the organization of this book. With each chapter I learned about another topic related to aging. It was excellent to hear research results and also hear first hand experiences with each topic.

Excellent Narration
Revisado: 05-30-24
The narrator was phenomenal. She literally made me stick it out until the end. The plot was original and engaging. Character development was excellent.
All that said, the book was WAY too long. Would’ve been better if at least 1/4 shorter. Maybe 1/3. I nearly gave up on it several times but the narration was too good to miss out on.
The end was satisfying.

Another Great McMurtry/Bosephus Read
Revisado: 09-18-22
The characters are interesting. The narrator is great at accents from the South and in general reads well. The plot twists and turns and has the reader worried for the good guys and mad at the bad guys.

A Good Read
Revisado: 09-09-22
I bought this book without realizing that I’d read, and enjoyed, a later book in the series. I was happy to meet the characters in this first book of the series because I liked them so much in the one I read.
Good character development. Characters the reader can love…and hate. Good foreshadowing. The plot’s twists and turns make sense.
The narrator was very good at the accents and at overall clarity.
I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Perfect Narration for a Special Book
Revisado: 05-25-21
I couldn’t get over how wonderful the narration was throughout this book. The story was interesting; the characters well developed and engaging. The underlying messages were lively...and important to remember in our own lives.

Historia
Bennie Rosato, Mary DiNunzio, Judy Carrier, and Anne Murphy are back with all cylinders firing in Accused. Mary Dinuzio has just been promoted to partner and is about to take on her most unusual case yet, brought to the firm by a thirteen-year-old genius with a penchant for beekeeping. Allegra Gardner's sister Fiona was murdered six years ago, and it seemed like an open-and-shut case: the accused, Lonnie Stall, was seen fleeing the scene; his blood was on Fiona and her blood was on him; most damningly, Lonnie Stall pleaded guilty.

Interesting plot;annoying narrator
Revisado: 11-02-18
This is the first time I’ve listened to a Rosato & DiNinzio book. I’ve always read them before. It will be the last time!
I found the narrator very annoying. Her interpretation of Mary’s parents and their friends made me grit my teeth every time...and there were LOTS of times.
The plot was interesting so I listened to the end.

Historia
Amos Decker witnesses a murder just outside FBI headquarters. A man shoots a woman execution style on a crowded sidewalk, then turns the gun on himself. Even with Decker's extraordinary powers of observation and deduction, the killing is baffling. Decker and his team can find absolutely no connection between the shooter - a family man with a successful consulting business - and his victim, a schoolteacher.

Good but not as good as usual
Revisado: 05-22-17
The characters are as engaging as ever-maybe even more than usual, as they develop in their relationships to one another. The narrators are wonderful. But the plot requires too much explanation. Too much telling and not enough showing.
Still, I highly recommend it. It's a good listen.

Worst narrator...EVER
Revisado: 01-05-17
I chose this book because of a much later book of Tim Weaver's that I liked.
OMG! This narrator is like a fingernail on a chalkboard. No! Wait! More annoying. In fact, I've never been irritated by a narrator like this before.
Hard to tell if I might've liked the book if it had been narrated better. Maybe. As it is, I'm not sure I'll try another Tim Weaver book.
Definitely do NOT recommend.
