Historia
Fiver could sense danger. Something terrible was going to happen to the warren; he felt sure of it. They had to leave immediately. So begins a long and perilous journey of survival for a small band of rabbits. As the rabbits skirt danger at every turn, we become acquainted with the band, its humorous characters, and its compelling culture, complete with its own folk history and mythos. Fiver’s vision finally leads them to Watership Down, an upland meadow. But here they face their most difficult challenges of all.

Beautiful story, great nareation. Enjoyed it very much, great for reading with your children if they are teenagers! Lots of good morals and the fact that the characters are rabbits makes it very relatable and fun while still being action packed.

Historia
Existentialism is the literary cri de coeur resulting from the realization that without God, everything good, true, and beautiful in human life is destined to be destroyed in a pitiless material cosmos. Theodore Dalrymple and Kenneth Francis examine the main existentialist works, from Ecclesiastes to the Theatre of the Absurd, each man coming from a different perspective. Francis is a believer, Dalrymple is not, but both empathize with the struggle to find meaning in a seemingly meaningless universe. This book is part literary criticism, part philosophical exploration....

Great book. I like the disposition of the author. Christians have a point there. Recommended

Historia
In his entertaining and inspiring follow-up to Love Does, Bob Goff takes listeners on a journey into the secret of living without fear, constraint, or worry. This liberated existence we all long for is as simple to say as it is difficult to do: We are called to love everybody, always – even when it’s really difficult.

Cringeworthy Naivete
Revisado: 12-01-18
I have no idea how "Sweet Maria" does it. but regardless, I was looking for some strong reasoning on how to feel love towards others in a world where most do not naturally invoke it in me. Didn't find it. Naturally cynical/sarcastic people should avoid it in my opinion as the feeling in the end is that loving others as a disposition isn't logically justified - a feeling I don't think is healthy. One day someone might write a real expose of why a disposition to love others is intellectually justified. I think the world needs such a book, but this one isn't it.
